Tulfarris Golf Club
Played On 05/11/2023One of Irelands hidden gems
Played Tulfarris several years ago in terrible weather, so finally came back with a friend.
Friendly staff, buggy waiting with towels as it had forecast showers. After 3 holes the heavens opened and the lightning came. The course was closed for nearly 2 hours but we waited and were permitted to play on. The drainage was fantastic considering the amount of rain which fell. The condition of the course is excellent with true well maintained greens. The course is a fair challange to all handicaps and has no real weak holes. It makes for an exciting round and we now have both put it as one of our top courses played in Ireland. Great value as well.
Hilton Templepatrick Hotel and Country Club
Played On 08/29/2019Top parkland course
The course at the Hilton is excellent. T tee boxes and fairways manicured to perfection. The overall layout is very good with several of the back nine holes playing alongside the sixmilewater river and large lakes and ponds featuring on other holes. Each hole is different each with its own character and difficulties. The course is flat easy walking yet the huge USPGA style greens are countoured and set in well mounded and bunkered designs. If you play off the back it is very long. Choice is yours, but the society tees are enough trouble for most. Superb.
Dunmurry Springs Golf Club
Played On 04/06/2017Bring plenty of balls
On entering the club you cannot help but be a little apprehensive due to the unfinished rough carpark. However the small but beautiful little clubhouse and luxurious locker rooms soon assure you that this place is better than 1st impressions. Great bunkering on holes. At least 3 holes with greens wrapped tight around lovely water features. Well planted trees and full use made of the hilly landscape. Greens are excellent. Great value and a fun round of golf if even a little difficult. Recommend a buggy due to long walk between tees and as stated is hilly.
Farnham Estate Golf Club
Played On 01/12/2017Fantastic greens.
Farnham estate golf course is a beautiful american style parkland course and is part of the Radisson resort hotel and spa. The tees are better than your average green. Greens are fantastic. The course is long but a great layout with the front nine being open meadow and the back nine weaving through a dense forest. Some well placed water and bunkers are everywhere. Take a buggy. Great value and friendly staff. A proper club house and locker room would make it one of the best venues in Ireland.
