Tee boxes were under repair. Greens were above expectations. Played true and fast. The course layout is great. Very nice staff and members are welcoming.

There was a unexpected cart girl on the course on Saturday morning. I wish there was a liquor license available. The fairways and greens were average and the course layout is challenging. We played the East.

The only reservation that I have about posting such overwhelming praise for this course is that the crowds may make it less desirable. The course conditions were Country Club quality and the layout is challenging and picturesque. The double pin positions let you mix up your rounds. Like any other public course, I wish that players would fix their ball marks. Other than than, Hyatt Hills is a hidden gem and such a great value.

Not sure where to begin here. I have played this course for decades and I was so disappointed in the playing conditions. The tee boxes were terrible. Bare spots all over and crab grass. The fairways were also filled with crab grass and dirt ruts. The greens were slow and did not roll true. Not sure if they are ever rolled at all. This course is an embarrassment to the university and does not come close to Big Ten quality. I can’t believe that the golf team actually tees it up here. Paid $58 with a cart and it was a rip off for the quality. I am a 15 handicap and carded a 85 for the day.

I have played Royce Brook several times over the years and I was always impressed by the the quality. That ends today for me. I remember that the golf carts used to have screen with yardage distances and course hazards identified. This is NOT the case anymore. All of the greens are surrounded by sand traps and almost ALL of these hazrds have NO sand but are dirt and mud. I had 3 triple bogies for my final score of 90 due to this nonsense. simply unplayable. It was revealed that new management didn't share the need to invest in sand. This is a BIG mistake. Stay away.
