Palm at McCormick Ranch Golf Club
Played On 10/07/2015Old Memories Not Extended
I thought this place would be better than when I played it long ago but it was not. Maybe having the other course closed made a difference but it seemed they were in a rush with the over seed and thus the course was wet.
GPS system is a joke compared to other courses in the area. The layout of course is odd and was just not a real favorable (other than cost) experience.

Played On 09/25/2015The Best Keep Getting Better
This place keeps exceeding expectations. The greens were the fastest I have played this year, the fairways were great, and the hamburger after the round topped off a great experience. For the price you cannot beat it. I only hope it stays under the radar and does not get over played or too expensive.

Played On 04/30/2015What Could Have Been
This course has the potential to be wonderful but when you get seven (7) groups waiting on three (3) holes and the marshal/pro did nothing to solve the situation there can be no fun or positive words for the round. This was a weekday at 10 am start and made everyone leave with a bad taste in their mouth.

Played On 04/27/2015Long Time Away
Stayed here and played long time back. Course much improved.
Pace of play not well handled as never saw a marshal
Layout bit congested for several holes and traps need work.
GPS did not work.
Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club at Desert Ridge
Played On 04/22/2015Repeat try
Tried this again after seeing LPGA tear it up.
Needs better marshaling to keep pace going..
In good shape but greens are difficult.
Cost for a non-motel staying person a bit high.

While there is no fancy clubhouse and they are just getting the practice area completed this is a good place to play. It was very windy when I played it and the course held its own. The fairways and greens were in great shape while the friendly workers added to the experience. You really need to play this course a few times to know how best to score.
SunRidge Canyon Golf Club
Played On 05/09/2014Tricky and Precise
This is definitely a course that must be played 2-3 times before getting serious about a score. There are way too many surprises even with the GPS system that need to be known to make this a fair test. The vista is great and the conditions nice but the uncertainty of what you must, need, or should do can only be a positive out-come if you play the course several times. The difficulty and the distance between green and next tee box makes the pace of play drag so expect a slow round.
Pine Forest Golf Club
Played On 03/27/2014Much Like a Mountain Course
Course was green and in over-all good condition. Greens were a little slow. Need to make sure what sign for #13 tee says as we found the tees in a different place. With just a little more effort, the place could really shine. However the cart situation (it was very jumpy and governor seemed to be trying to kick in at times but it could not and thus made a bad squealing sound) needs to be addressed.

Nice course but price needs to be lowered. I have played this course and others in this area several times. That is what I base my price comment on.
The course was in good shape and play moved at a good pace. I was paired with a nice man and we had a good time.
