Fairlawn Golf Course
Played On 07/18/2020Perfect course for beginners & to practice your short game.
Course is a basic course, nothing overly challenging about it; it is a great way for a novice golfer to learn basic mechanics and practice their short game, As of 7/18./2020, my partner & I paid $22 per person for our round (9 holes--$44 total) with the driving cart included in the price; we teed off at 5 pm on Saturday, July 11, 2020...not sure if price is more earlier in the day. The driving cart cost a flat rate $10; it was not charged on a per-person basis. I thought this was a very good deal, as most courses charge carts based on its number of occupants.
Regarding course conditions, the 2nd hole had tire and mud tracks on it, albeit a little off to the side. However, the overall conditions of the fairways and greens were in very good shape. Greens run a little fast here. No real hazards on the course, outside of trees and a few sand bunkers. Hole 9 is a great finisher, allowing some golfers to utilize their drivers if they so choose.
Clubhouse and parking area appears to currently be under a bit of construction, but is open to patrons to stop in and grab a drink and hangout inside. The patio is also open. I believe the course has come under new ownership; however, I can't confirm. It appears they are really trying to get this place going, updated, and more appealing. Great work overall thus far.
