The course was in great shape, highly recommend playing especially if you can get a deal.

Played on a Friday morning, 9 on cedar and 9 on oaks. Tee boxes, fairways in great shape. Greens on cedar still filling out, only negative. Great, challenging course!

The course was in great shape and a joy to play. I don't think I would have payed the rack rate though. Played on a Monday GolfNow hot deal ($100), but just for my gf to ride was $50. Layout is fun and challenging and the Staff were very hospitable. Played in about 2 & 1/2 hrs, but that was bc I was a single and the course was dead. Overall, would play again only on a Hot Deal though.

There are two courses at Houston National. The members and the public. The public course was not in $30/round shape. Greens and tee boxes were okay, but the fairways had little grass.

The place is a "value" golf course. Don't expect a lot. Kept reading all these reviews how the greens were so good. They are not. But when you pay ~$20 to play here, can't really expect a whole lot.

The course was in pretty good shape, greens have been better in the past though. Bunkers were garbage. The pace of play was surprisingly good as most times it is not.
