I really don’t want to write a poor review as I really like the course the way it used to be.
I decided to try the course again after avoiding it for over a year due to really poor conditions, I read a few glowing recent reviews and decided to give it another try. Honestly I do not believe these reviews to be sincere. The course conditions are actually worse than a year ago, and one of the players in our group actually left early as he was worn out hitting off hardpan surfaces.
That player that left was also forced to pay $20 for his own cart, and he was really upset about it as the course was very empty and surely that is ridiculous when offering a course of this standard.
I hope the course will recover, you can no longer coast on the fact your greens are OK, when fairways are in such horrible condition.

I like this course and drive an hour to play it, i do wish the staff were friendlier, can you at least just pretend that you appreciate our business. Everyone in my group commented on this and they were total strangers.

Spruce Creek is one of my favorite courses, it starts off with a couple of easy holes to get you going. They do pay attention to pace of play by pairing players up, typically you are paired up with very nice players and end up having a great time.
I recommend this course to all my friends!

I have always enjoyed playing Eagle Dunes and found the staff very friendly as well.
This year for whatever reason, the fairways although decent in some areas, have just way too many poor fairways where you are either hitting off dirt or some type of unplayable surface. If you just want a fun day to hack around a pleasant golf course all is fine, but I end up with botched holes and high scores due to continuous unfair playing conditions. The greens do play much better, but the overall conditions currently deter me from playing here frequently.

I look forward to the course resuming its previous conditions and when it does I will be glad to resume playing here.

Unfortunately this course has allowed its fairways to become beyond unacceptable, they rely entirely on the fast greens. I do hope that when the daily rains resume in the Summer, perhaps the grass will grow to improve conditions.
I have always liked Eagle Dunes and perhaps there is a market for casual golfers who just like wide open fairways and don't care, however I prefer to play golf off grass and not dirt. I am rooting for this course to regain its previous conditions as I have always enjoyed playing here.

Mayfair has become my favorite golf course in the area, they have taken a lot of effort to improve the course, the fairways are nice and soft and the greens are fast and challenging. The staff are very friendly and they have a large number of regulars that really enjoy playing there.
Pace of play can be a challenge sometimes, particularly on a Saturday but I believe this is a factor of its popularity and high demand.
I play here often and highly recommend it!

I have always enjoyed this golf course, and intend to play it again. Currently it has quite thin grass on the fairways and many dry spots which make hitting good shots a challenge.
I know that with some rain and time it will improve.

Absolutely beautiful golf course, wonderful fairways and greens. Staff was very friendly, I drove from Orlando as I have been wanting to play the course and I was not disappointed.
I do wish starters would consider pace of play and require that single and double players, pair up, especially when it is busy, it would have reduced the 5 hrs it took to play the round. Overall however I would highly recommend this golf course.

Spruce Creek is really fun to play and it is always in excellent condition. I have played it many times and the staff are really pleasant, and the other golfers are always very friendly.
The course itself presents a good challenge, with a lot of variety on the holes, and as you wind around the adjacent runway it’s really cool to see low flying aircraft coming in and out.

The only thing to be aware of is after heavy rain, they often go to cart path only, but this is typical of most of the courses in the area. Spruce Creek is one of my favorite courses and I highly recommend playing here.

I really enjoyed playing Spruce Creek, I thought the fairways were in fairly good condition for the most part, and the greens rolled very well. Course has an interesting mix of challenging holes, and it was kind of fun to watch the low-flying planes takeoff and land right above you as you’re playing.
Folks in the pro shop were very friendly, I would definitely recommend this course and I will be back again soon.

Mayfair is a fun course to play, and the greens are among the best in the area. The fairway conditions can be a little rough particularly on the front 9, however I find the back 9 to be in very good shape. The course receives a lot of play and can get extremely busy, as others have I have often noted, they seem to tolerate 5some and even 6somes which I wish they would not permit as this really clogs up pace of play.
Overall this is a great course and very good value for money, I have found the pro shop staff to be very friendly which to me is also very important. I plan to play here regularly!

Pros: New Greens although very firm, roll very nicely.

Cons: Fairways are ROCK hard, to the point it took all enjoyment in playing for me. If you are a player that likes to take divots, I doubt you will enjoy this course. If you pick the ball clean, you may like it better.

Pace of play got so bad, I ended up leaving after 9 holes. This course seems popular with others, but is doesn't appeal to me.

Championsgate country club has possibly the best conditions in Central Florida. The tee boxes and fairways are great and the greens are absolutely perfect and fast.
The staff are very friendly, and you cannot find a better deal on a course of this standard.
I drive an hour to get to this course, and it is well worth it.

The management and staff at Eagle dunes are excellent, they fully understand there are many choices of golf courses and they go above and beyond to give you a great golf experience.
The fairways are always in great shape, and the greens are fast and among the very best in the area, the course layout is varied and fun, some easy holes and some difficult holes giving a good balance.
They are always running great deals, I play this course as often as I can.

Absolutely a local gem of a course, the entire resort has a very pristine feel.
I played very early 7AM and as a result the course is still very wet, and this makes the course much longer and more difficult, but still great fun.
A great variety of holes and a really great alternative to El Campion which is one of the best courses you will ever play.
I have convinced friends to drive over an hour to play this course with me, and they have never been disapointed.
