Omni Amelia Island Resort - Little Sandy Short Course
Played On 09/25/2023A pitch and putt course
This is a beautiful 10 hole pitch and putt course, that is in premium condition, possibly because it is empty due to the price. None of the holes are over 120 yards, so for $55 it is quite a lot for about an hours worth of golf, but if you have an hour to kill and don't mind the expense then this little course is a lot of fun to play and the amenities and staff are spot on.

Played On 10/29/2022Poor Greens
The fairways and rough are in excellent condition, and I've always enjoy this course for it's varied challenges, but the greens are appalling and really the price of the round should be lowered as a result. This isn't a $75 course at the moment.
King's Mountain Country Club
Played On 10/09/2022Played the course early on a Sunday morning and the pace of play was pretty good for a somewhat challenging course. I would state though it probably had potential to back up quite easily with some of the holes being challenging and waiting for people to play shots from the wrong fairways etc.
The course is in pretty good shape, and the greens were excellent and ran as smoothly as any public golf course I've ever played.
This is great value for money and only really a short drive from Charlotte.
River Bend YMCA Golf Course
Played On 08/25/2019Nice course, good value, will be back
Two ball played Sunday mid morning. Very friendly welcome in shop. Course in good condition, greens fast but got used to them after a few holes. Only downside was the pace of play. - played first seven holes in about 75 minutes, the other 11 holes took two hours 40 minutes. Despite that it was still an enjoyable visit and we will be back.
Lancaster Golf Club
Played On 10/29/2016Great Value
This has to be one of the best value courses in the area, as long as you don't mind the short drive out of Charlotte. Saturday afternoon rounds in 3 hours for a 2 ball can't be beat in the area. The course is a little dry in places at the moment due to lack of rain, but the greens are fast and fair and the rough has been kept short. Two of the par 3s on the back nine are quite tough for my 18 handicapper level, ie as a lady playing the red tees i have to try and manufacture a shot shape to land on a green using a driver as my 3 wood comes up short on the hill. Overall though a thoroughly enjoyable course. The amenities are a little basic, but the staff is friendly and the beer is cold, what more can you ask.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting Olde Sycamore Golf Plantation, and we hope to see you again in the future.
