Decent course but the starter that was working should not be the person greeting customers. We went to the starter where there was a water and ice machine but no cups. When we asked for cups we were rudely told there was not any. They haven’t used cups since Covid. He said you will need your own cup. Ok well we are traveling and do not have cups and he still was rude and said they have no cups. When asked how do they serve drinks, he said he had no idea! The guy at bag drop was very nice and the person in clubhouse was nothing to brag about either. Oh and by the way, they have cups on the cart that came around!

We were a bit disappointed when we played this course. We were ok with the course, however, the customer service and courtesy left a lot to be desired. We are not ones to dilly dally around. When at the hole with a contest, one of our people hit the green and we asked what does she do to get her name in for the contest. The Marshall had no idea and literally sat there watching us. Well we did the best we could (and I’m guessing she just donated the money because it was very confusing). Two holes later the Marshall came and said we were behind. Well I guess so since we had no assistance from him which is where we fell behind. Oh and how about the two twosomes behind us? Why not try putting them together and then maybe they wouldn’t be catching us. The person who said previously they were rude was right. Oh and after they cleaned our clubs post game and sat them outside of the cart area, there was no help offered to put them in the cart. Guess they figured they got their tips! I had been it was a good place to eat but none of us had any desire to give them any more money after the experience ce we had. Very disappointing.

This was the first time we played this. While we were a twosome, we were behind a foursome who were obviously on a tourist round taking photos constantly and holding us up. Their ability should have been afternoon t time. The ranger did come around and eventually got us moved to in front of them on 9. The course was in decent condition given the fact that a few weeks ago a tornado went through. The price of course was a bit high compared to some nicer courses we played. We had to wait about 20 minutes for a cart because of damage from tornado that occurred from tornadoNo compensation offered for the wait.

The course was in good shape. We had the pleasure of golfing with two ladies from Canada and the day was pleasurable. It was a good decision to play here.

Tried to call several times as it was raining in morning and we figured it would be sloppy. Still no answer up to 10 am so I cancelled in line due to weather. Will I see my deposit back?

We did a week golf trip in Myrtle Beach and golfed 7 different courses. Of the seven we golfed, we would rate Beachwood the highest because of their true greens and great fairways. Unfortunately many of the courses are getting brown spots in fairways but Beachwood did not have these. Love these greens - always play well there.

Took advantage of one of the couple of decent days in January to play. The course is in pretty decent shape considering time of year. The back 9 was wet so we had to play the front twice. Looked like the regular groups were going out in front of is and they seemed to slow down in the last 4 or 5 holes. Greens were a bit bumpy but tolerable

Visiting from out of state and this was one of the courses that had been suggested by a friend. It was the best if five courses we ha e played. Absolutely beautiful!

Golfed here with about 25-30 other people. Course was good, however, personnel not so friendly. Was particularly disappointed with the attitude of the pro shop guy in the afternoon. On the course, they were doing a special on one of the par 3’s and when you donated, you received a $5 gift card toward a hat in the pro shop. I had purchased one prior to going out in the course. The gentleman suggested I take it into shop and see if they would reimburse me $5.

Without going into details, the person in the shop has a less than desirable attitude and he should take his chauvinistic attitude to a location where he doesn’t need to communicate with customers!

Played on this courses as part of a large group but it was obvious that they try to keep a good pace of play. Enjoyed playing this course and would definitely play again. Ate at restaurant and food was good.

This was the first of a six day golf trip. Enjoyed the course and would go back to ‘fix’ a few of the holes I did not play so well bit the course was in good shape.

My golf partner and I decided that today was probably the most painful round we have ever played and not because we had bad hits. The other twosome that was supposed to golf with us didn’t show so we played ourselves. We were told there was a league out in front of us so we had expected some slowness on the front 9. The first three holes were great. The fairways were in great shape as well as the greens. Then we caught up to the ladies the starter told us about. It was the first time I witnessed two foursomes playing the same par 3 at the same time with another group waiting in front of us. Actually one of the par 4’s had 4 groups playing at one time. We just kept thinking we are almost done with the front 9. Now we expected to whiz through. Nope! Two ladies evidently chose to start on the back and on hole 11 when one asked the other if they should let us play through, she said No! We chose to skip that hole because there was no one in front of us. So now the maintenance people are making all kinds of dust right where we are playing and they didn’t stop and oh by the way, the sprinklers were going too. This went on for two or three holes. We tried to stay positive and just make the best of it but it was tough. The course has a starter but obviously do not manage the course with a Marshall to try to keep play moving.

Look I am a woman who is all for everyone playing golf but the course needs to set tee times accordingly when leagues are playing if they are slower so it is not so aggravating to their other guests. It was pretty obvious that tee times should never have been started for a minimum of 30 minutes after their last tee off. There were 2-3 groups backed up at almost every hole starting around hole 5 and it increasingly got worse.

The most positive part of the day was the Caddy Shack. Food was great!

Had a morning play time and was done in less than four hours. Only had to wait a few minutes on a few holes. Sand traps were basically unplayable but other than that the course was great!

We really like the layout of this course, however, it does need some TLC. I’m no greens expert but the greens were a bit hairy. It was the first time I had golfed since they were replaced so it was a bit disappointing.

I have played here before and am familiar with course, however I’m not sure which was worse yesterday - the ‘starter’ (who also was cleaning carts)’ or the pace of play. The starter had an attitude when we sat by hole 1 thinking we were next because there were no other golfers around. We were rudely hollared at instrad of him coming down to explain and told there was another group in front of us.

Pace of play was terrible of pace of play could not be kept up with 8 min apart the perhaps they should put more time between t times. Singles and doubles were going out instead of teaming them up together. I invited two different groups to join ours and they declined. The course should be putting them together.

The positive to this was that I had my grandson with me and I am trying to teach him golf etiquette so it was certainly a teaching opportunity!

We have been purchasing the golf Groupon vouchers for this course for that last few years. Although last year I thought it was in a bit of a rough condition,
We purchased four of them this year. I honestly fon’t Know that I will use the other two. Nothing was in good shape - tee boxes were not nice, fairways were hard as a rock, greens were atrocious (bare in some spots with little rifts of grass). . Half way through we put a one putt rule in effect and I said we are just playing for fun. This cannot go into our handicap. With this being the prime golf season in Myrtle Beach, I cannot imagine why this course would be in such bad condition. The course layout is interesting but extremely poor condition.

For the last 5 years I have been saying I want to play this course. This year my friend suggested I play there since she knew I wanted to play it. So glad I did. Other than my original tee time being changed by course after I made it on line, everything moved very smoothly and professionally. Very impressed. I was lucky going out as a si glue to have been placed with two people who have golfed the course previously. I was happy with my results. I will definitely return to this course.

I play this course when I visit a friend who lives on the Preserve. This visit I played it three times since it is a convenient location. Course was in good shape. I only wish the men inside were a bit friendlier.
