Scottsdale Silverado Golf Club
Played On 11/16/2023Short but challenging and fun
I enjoyed my round, and without knowing the course and no information (No GPS, yardage book, course map etc.) I was still able to shoot one of my best scores of year from the tips, carding a 74 (I'm an 8.4 handicap currently). Course was wet and over seeded, but greens rolled fast and true. Layout was fun, and even tho a short course there is plenty of challenge for low handicappers. Rough was just long enough to provide slight penalty for missing fairways, which I liked. Good place for a fun round, and if you keep the ball in play you will have a fun time! Island green par 3 finish is fun, I was able to hit green and par, but while drinking beer after round and watching several group, I'd say only about 25% hit green.

Good course, second time I’ve played it. They had just seeded, so it was a car path only so lots of walking! Greens were also slow. Otherwise good place to play. They don’t give you any range balls, however, would like to see that improved. Nice staff
Camelback Golf Club - Ambiente Course
Played On 11/13/2023Decent course, harder than it looks
Showed up as a single it was paired up with some nice guys, they were older and were playing the tan tees, which I thought were a bit short, but I played them anyway. Much to my surprise it was plenty, I’m at eight handicap and ended up shooting an 85 so well above my handicap. Could never get the fast green speeds down, some greens very undulating. Like I said, harder than it looks. Muddy in some spots due to lots of watering. Layout a bit odd in some places but the signs keep you directed.
Lakeside Golf Course
Played On 08/06/2023Good public course
I enjoyed my round, I was paired up with a local member, and it was a pleasurable experience. The course is fairly easy if you are a low handicap and keep it on the fairway, rough can be deep in places, front nine is pretty straightforward but the back nine has a couple tricky holes That bit me. Overall, I would play it again and enjoyed the experience.
Las Sendas Golf Club
Played On 07/04/2023Punched, bumpy greens and blind shots
First time playing this course. Definitely challenging. Greens were bumpy and recently punched (not disclosed at time of scheduling nor at check in). This course would definitely benefit by adding GPS, as there are many blind shots, including off tee box. I hit what the group thought was awesome drive, down middle of fairway, and evidently it ran thru the fairway and we never found the ball. The course layout map didn't indicate that could be an issue. So, local knowledge a key to playing this course. I shot 86, and easily could have broken 80 with a caddy or GPS help.
Longbow Golf Club
Played On 07/03/2023Good challenging course
Played this course for the first time, glad I was paired up with someone who had experience on the course. Greens were hard and firm, course was set up fair. The staff there is a little weird about giving out the cart keys until right before your teetime. I guess that’s how they control it, anyway overall good experience.
Bali Hai Golf Club
Played On 08/14/2022Good golf course in Vegas
I thoroughly enjoyed my round, the greens were awesome allowing me to shoot below average score for me! The staff is super friendly. They have a hitting area with a net but no driving range, and no water on the course to drink, other than that I had a great time!
Plantation Resort Golf Club
Played On 10/01/2022Busy, tougher public course
I’m a 9 handicap, first time playing this course. I found the course challenging, decent greens, crowded and slow play. Driving range is decent. Some of the holes are straight forward, others have small landing areas which are challenging for average golfers. For example, hole #10 is a challenging drive from tips for even a low handicap player with long water carry. Clubhouse looks like it was flooded or something, very bad. Mens room didn’t even have drywall! Finally, a couple of the cart paths cross water falls with no wall or retaining wall. The path has fast moving water and at one point I felt the cart hydroplane and thought we might actually slide into the reservoir! I found this very scary and found it hard to believe the course would put players in this position. Probably for that reason alone I’ll not return.
River Hills Country Club
Played On 07/20/2021Goat track, doesn’t accept Golf Now!
So I arrived at the course at my appointment teetime, showed them my golf now receipt and they informed me that they no longer excepted golf now reservations! They said golf now should have known this, but they still sold me the teetime! So I had to end up paying out of my own pocket again. I’m in dispute with golf now to get my money back. I can’t believe this is a country club, it is worse than any municipal course I have played this year. The layout is horrible, several holes hit over other holes, the only saving grace is the greens are halfway decent. You couldn’t pay me to play here again. And to top it off the mosquitoes are horrible on this course. Don’t go!
The Golf Club at Texas A&M
Played On 04/14/2019Challenging but confusing!
Played for the first time and was paired up with a couple other people who’ve never play the course either. The result was we were confused most of the day as far as the course layout! I’m several tee boxes you can’t see the green and it’s not really clear where to go. Also on many holes you were driving towards people who are hitting at you, so not the best layout! Not fair to comment on the course conditions because a big storm is just blow through, but the greens were good enough and I did enjoy my day overall. Nice views of campus and number 18 is pretty cool heading towards the stadium. You all just need to put a course map or GPS on the carts that would help a bunch!

Grove/Plantation at Pecan Grove Plantation Country Club
Played On 07/10/2019Best round ever!
I never played this course before, but luckily linked up with member on front 9. I’m 12 handicap but shot 35 on front and 39 on back! Pretty easy course if you keep on fairway. Greens are Bermuda and easy to read and roll true. Fun!
Stonetree Golf Club
Played On 04/29/2018Good course, questionable availability
I play this course all the time and have an annual pass. It has nice practice facilities and is overall a very good course. There is no grill or kitchen and barely any snack food available. My only complaint is that they will hold unannounced tournaments and practice rounds, so can be very crowded. Call first!
Sammons Golf Course
Played On 04/23/2018Looking forward to improvements
I live in the area and have played many times. It can be fun, but greens are horrible. Course is not well maintained. Evidently they are putting money into it now, I usually walk but did notice new golf carts. The course is being redone in May 2018 I think, and it drastically needs it. It will be interesting to see how it comes out. I can't see this course surviving without improvements.
Thank you for your review and for playing our course. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the condition of the greens and the lack of disclosure about their recent punching. We appreciate your feedback about the need for GPS on the course and acknowledge that local knowledge can be helpful when playing here.
