Viera East Golf Club
Played On 01/10/2022Course is in nice shape
Course was in nice shape. I’d rate it about an 8. Super fast greens so go to putting green for a few minutes before you play
Dunes at Sandridge Golf Club
Played On 01/29/2021One of the nicer public courses in the area.
Have driven down from Melbourne beach a few times to play here. Good layout; challenging but generous landing ares for tee shots. Nice greens but some areas in the rough around the greens are thin.
Lakes/Dolphin Golf Course at Cocoa Beach Country Club
Played On 04/01/2020Poor condition and rude employees.
For starters, I keep a handicap card and I am a 13.1, which equates to a 12 handicap from the white tees that I played on the Lakes/River course. First off, the greens were excellent, but the overall course condition was poor at best. And the starter was rude, like he was having a bad day....... and they didn’t have the flags in....... that’s right, NO FLAGS so you had to guess where the holes were - well they were all middle front, but still. Coronavirus precautions, I get it. But all the other courses have the flags in and you just leave them in and don’t touch them. Stupid management.
I will not return to this golf course. Even with the golf now HOT DEAL of $33, it was still $10 more than it was worth.
Baytree National Golf Links
Played On 03/30/2020Nice layout - excellent greens
FYI- I have a 13.1 handicap index. The course is suffering from the drought, especially the rough which is non-existent. This is good and bad because it is easy to play from but the mounds that frame most of the fairways have no grass to keep errant shots from rolling into hazards. Also on some holes you could roll through the fairways if you weren’t familiar with the course.
Fairways were firm , fast and tight. Layout was nice but some tricked up holes. Greens were firm and fast. Because of this they rolled very true, unlike most bermuda greens in FL
For the hotdeal price of $25, I would play it again. If you like firm and fast greens, tight firm fairways and no rough, you will like this course. If you are looking for a lush golfcourse with soft greens, go elsewhere.
Viera East Golf Club
Played On 02/25/2020Nice friendly layout.
FYI- I’m a 12 handicap. This is my second round here. This is a very nice layout and very fair. Most everything is right in front of you. Designer Joe Lee has designed some pretty nice courses in GA, FL and TN, and while I haven't played them all, this layout is among the best of his that I have played. The conditions were respectable but not great, the fairways and greens had some thin spots and the rough had some weeds, but hey, its a public course and I paid $28 on a hot deal.
Enjoyable round of golf.
Dunes at Sandridge Golf Club
Played On 02/03/2020Very Nice public course
Played the Dunes course. Very nice layout and good quick and true greens. Excellent value for the $40 golf now hot deal price but I’m not sure I would want to pay much more than that, but its probably worth $60 for in season golf.
Barefoot Bay Golf & Recreation Park
Played On 01/27/2020Don’t waste your time and money
this is a 3600 yd par 60 ( I think) executive course. So it has 12 par 3’s and 6 par 4’s.
It’s located in the middle of a huge mobile home park and is extremely crowded. Pace of play is not monitored.
I will not return and I wouldn’t even if they paid me to play here. Too many other options to play elsewhere.
Spessard Holland Golf Course
Played On 02/02/2018Super slow and poor condition
This course is a joke. The staff have no consideration for their patrons. They pack people in like sardines, and the price is not commensurate with the quality of the course. Their were 8 carts lined up at the first tee. Do yourself a favor and play aquarina (but also can be slow and crowded) or Habitat ( a true championship layout with new greens).
The Habitat Golf Course
Played On 01/31/2018Habitat
Habitat is a lovely scenic course that is very tight. It you don’t hit the ball pretty straight you will not enjoy this course.
Baytree National Golf Links
Played On 01/25/2016Turtle pace
Don't play this course if you value your time! They schedule tee times 6 minutes apart and don't monitor pace of play. And the layout was pretty good, but conditions were mediocre. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!! And finally finished our 5:40 minute round at 6:05 only to find the club house and bar were closed!!! Too many other options to play
