A Unique Challenge...Hidden Gem.

If you want immaculate conditions....a perfectly manicured course...and 4 star amenities...move on. You're not going to like this place. If you want a laid back, fun, challenging and unique experience, that attracts friendly, down to earth people, then this is the spot. The course is a par 31. The holes that stand-out to me are #5 (212 yards) & #6 (198 yards), 2 extremely challenging par 3's. My strategy on #5 & #6 is to be extremely conservative, take a couple Bogey 4's, and hope to get those back with on #1, a 255 yard par 4 & #8, a 268 yard par 4. #2 is a fun little 98 yard par 3 with a slightly elevated tee. You hit over a gully that you cross via a wooden bridge. People generally like this hole, but it's been giving me fits this year! #3 is a 168 yard par 3 with a blind tee shot to a green that slopes back to front, and that lays hidden just behind a large Native American Burial Mound. On top of said mound is the "Bush From H€ll" that swallows up any ball that touches it. It's a tough but fair hole. The green holds well, but anything short or long, will make for an extremely tough up and down. #7 & 9 are the longest holes on the course. #7 plays at 377 yards and #9 is right at 400 yards. Both require a well placed tee shot, with out of bounds on the right and several strategically placed trees . I really like these 2 holes because there are several ways to play them, depending on risk/reward and the strong and weak parts of your game. #9 requires distance control, as it sits tucked into the south east corner of the course, between out of bounds to the right and trees to the left.
All and all I love this course. It's great for Beginners, yet offers a good challenge for even the best Players. It's a unique experience and they've great cheeseburgers and cold beer.
