Having played the majority of the Top 100 courses in the UK, Windermere is now firmly one of my favourite courses.
Despite rain recently, the course was in immaculate condition and perfectly dry. The greens were running rather quickly with perfect roll.
Although lacking in length on the scorecard, the shorter “attackable” holes are well guarded and by no means a push over. The amazing views, immaculate condition and perfect greens make up for a lack of length.
Would strongly recommend a visit to this course, it’ll be the best £40 you spend.
