Where's the beer girl

I think they must book their tee times too close together because the course was a log jam with waits on every hole. The round took 3 riders well over 5 hours. In this time the beer cart only came to us once. The course conditions were good, but not worth the $54.

Short and drivable

This is a great course for any skill level. It is well maintained and the greens are very nice. It has a few short and potentially drivable par 4's and a couple par 5's that are great for birdie opportunities. If you are able to keep the ball straight you will have no problem achieving a low score. Even if you slice, the other fairway allows you decent position to the green.

Bring your bug spray

This course was a great deal for $14. Narrow fairways made the course challenging, but the large greens helped out a lot. Course was in great condition. The only issue with this course was the grass around the ponds was high which led to a lot of Mosquitos. Overall for under $20 this course is a steal.

What rain?

I have always wanted to play St. Andrews and when this hot deal popped up I couldn't resist. The course was in amazing shape for having rained heavily the day before. Fairways and rough was kept low so balls were easily found. The GPS wa great and even told you the best way to play your shot. The staff was great and even called you by your first name. The only issue I had with this course was the amenities. They had no bathrooms on the course and the water fountain was warm. For $36, this course was a steal.

Lost ball

This course was very narrow and overall short. If you don't control your driver, your best bet is to hit your wedges. The rough is long and thick and you will hopefully find more balls than you lose. Holes are very close together and you will spend a lot of time driving into subdivisions to the next hole, which I found cool. Greens are very nice and the course is worth the money.

Great course

First time playing this course and I was reserved because of the North Chicago location. This course was great and in a different location with no power lines it would easily be a $60 a round course. Greens were large and fast, but easy to read. Fairways were narrow and the course has a lot of trees. Course was well manicured and balls were easy to find. Would play again and often.

Empty

Paid $9 after taxes, and I generally try to pay around $1 per hole. The course was empty so I played 2 balls to get my 18 hole score. The par 4's are very short and would be long par 3's at any other course. I would reccomend throwing away your scorecard and simply practice your long irons. Great starter course. Greens were great, but the tee boxes were rough. Owner just took over and is very nice. Has a little putt putt course so it is kid friendly. Only food served is a Friday fish fry, but they have a full bar. Great value for a buck a hole.
