Recently golfed here with two others. The positive was that the staff was pretty friendly from booking a tee time to clubhouse visit. However, the course itself needs some work. The rough seemed as if it was just mowed for the first time in a month. The grass clippings were so numerous it was literally like trying to find your ball in a haystack. I lost a couple of balls that were probably no more than five feet off the fairway. Made for a disappointing time when you feel like you hit a good shot off the tee but when you wander down the fairway you can't find your ball because it's off in some haystack. The greens were also very fast or very slow. Inconsistent overall. I think I will try this course again later this year but I really hope my experience is better.

I love this course because it is fun golf for a great price. The holes are fun and beautiful in an urban setting. I've never played a bad round at Elmwood and I always walk away happy I played it. The staff isn't anything special and the course facilities are nothing special either, but there's fun elevation changes on the course and it's perfect for accurate iron shots. I highly recommend this course.

You have to be patient when you try this course. It's filled with little kids and beginner golfers. Which is nice there's a place they can try but don't go here expecting to breeze through it. It's actually well maintained and is reasonably challenging. I wish the holes varied more as many of them are so similar. But it's a good time out and easy and good to walk.

The front nine and the back nine are completely different. I golf this course the most of any course in the Omaha area. The cost is good, the course is always pretty well kept, it moves at a fair speed and it's always a good experience (except for hole 9). There's also a good variety of holes with some various long par 5's and nice little par 3's and 4's. I feel like I can consistently use my irons, which is the best part of my game. My only complaint is that the greens are sometimes not as well kept as some other area courses. Other than that, it's a good overall course.

I've been golfing this course for years and it's always a challenge and I feel like you really get a bargain. It truly is the best price for golf in the Omaha metro area I believe. The positives are that the course is very well kept for a public course, the price is great, and you can usually sneak in 9 holes in under 2 hours. The negatives are that sometimes those in front of you are very slow because they are new to the game. The course is a beginner's course I would say but also provides a great deal of challenges with the slopes of a few of the greens. It's a par 31, which seems easy, but I can tell you that it most definitely is not. There are many par 3's, one of which is about 100 yards over the water, which is too short for my taste. However, holes 3 & 7 are the hardest in my opinion as both of the greens are insanely sloped and make putting very difficult if you're trying to make par. For some reason hole 8 is my favorite as it's a long par 3 that is made for a nice mid-range iron shot.

The staff is very friendly always but the food here might as well be nothing because it's just snack food like chips or a candy bar.

I keep coming back to this course. While it isn't my first choice when making a tee-time, it certainly never disappoints.

I've been playing this course for a number of years and it always lives up to expectations. The only downside to this course is that it always seems like it's very busy almost no matter when you go.

The course is very well kept and brings about many challenges. There's a very good mix of trees and open space. It's a well-rounded course in my opinion. It winds through the neighborhood and offers plenty of elevation changes to go a long with water hazards in between. I don't have any real complaints about the way the course plays at all.

One negative is that the cart paths are in rough shape and something they really need to get fixed.

I will definitely continue golfing at Tara Hills until it gives me a reason not to.

It was just an OK experience. The greens & tee boxes need major attention. The greens were atrocious. The fairways and sand were well kept but putting was made pretty difficult. I'm not sure I'd go back.
