The Challenge Golf Club
Played On 10/15/2017The name certainly fits; especially coming on the last few holes. There are some long par 4's... This is a solid course the greens were in good shape. The fariways had a few patchy spots but nothing too major. It plays about what one would expect for the price.
Meadowlands Golf Club
Played On 10/14/2017This is a great course! Going by the reviews on here I was pleasantly surprised we got out on the course it was in fantastic shape. The fairways were excellent and the greens were in good shape and consistent.
I would highly recommend making the trip over to Meadowlands!
Stoney Creek Golf Club
Played On 09/17/2017This course has a very hap-hazard latyout which makes for several awkward holes. The course was in good condition and the greens rolled pretty consistent. However, for the price one can do better in the area.
Blair Park Golf Course
Played On 08/13/2017The is a value play. For the money this is a fun course; just don't expect too much with the course conditions.
Country Hills Golf Course
Played On 07/23/2017Greens are a Mess
Fun course and the tee boxes and fairways are nice, however, the greens are a mess they had very recently been aerated. As such a greens fee discount would have I believe been justified.
If not for the greens this course would be a tremendous value. I'll definitely be back but next time when I call ahead I'll make sure to ask about those greens.
Pleasant Ridge Golf Course
Played On 07/21/2017This is a course I've played many times. Your best bet here is to just play the back 9 as the front 9 has taken a beating over the past few years due mainly to nearby highway construction. However the back 9 (which has not been effected by the construction) is generally in good shape for what you'll pay.
Oak Hollow Golf Course
Played On 07/16/2017The course was in good shape with the exception of the greens; which were in terrible shape. Apparently there was a 75 man tournament earlier in the day so it's understandable that the greens would be a little ruff. However, it was obvious that the green's wear was do to overtime poor upkeep. A green fee discount in light of all this would have been appropriate.
The staff which is usually great was more interested in their own goings-on than helping customers.
Hopefully, they will get these issues sorted out soon, as this is generally a great public course.
Jamestown Park Golf Course
Played On 04/22/2017Staff is terrible, course is "ok"...
The course was in ok condition, but for the $39 to ride 18 it surely isn't worth it. Add to that the fact that the staff is a bunch of pretentious jerks and it set my round off with a very poor start; before I ever swung a golf club. The staff seems much more concerned with their own agenda than providing any level of customer service.
The tee boxes are garbage and the fairways aren't much better on several holes you are better off hitting into the ruff as there is more/better grass then in the fairway. The greens were in good shape and rolled nicely.
All said, I will not be back which is a shame as Jamestown used to be one of my favorite course in the area.
