Dear sir/ Madame,
While we are originally from New Hampshire and have been spending a significant amount of time in Tavares. Hence, we do get the opportunity to play at Deer Island county club. The people are extremely nice and the course conditions are superb.
I had not played there since Aug of 2021. The course is still in great shape in December. I did notice that the Senior’s tees have been moved back by 500 yards in total. It surely brings a lot more water in play and lengthened the yardage by quite a bit. I being, 76 years of age and born with a handicapped right foot it has made a much less enjoyable game for me.
I wish they will move the senior’s tee back to where it used to be. Now it appears that I am playing pretty much from the white tees. I am sure I could play from the forward tee and tee off with my wife from the same tee. However I do feel a bit dignified when I play from the senior’s tee.
Regardless I have great admiration for the staff, the course superintendent and the field crew for keeping the course in outstanding condition.

Most hospitable staff. Course is well taken care off.

After we finished 9th hole all of a sudden we saw there was a five some on the tenth green and a four some just finished teeing on tenth tee. These folks were not in front of us for the entire first nine holes. This was totally unusual and unprecedented to insert two groups a five some and a foursome in front of us. We complained to the staff and they admitted having inserted those groups intentionally in front of us, without any apology. I think it was quite impolite and effectively slowed down the pace of play substantially.

First time we played in the afternoon The place of play was a bit slow, so we turned around and played the first nine holes twice. Course is in great shape, fairways greens and roughs are all green and good condition.

The course is in very good condition. The course was overseeded with cool season grasses. Greens do role truly. Fairways are in great shape. Staff is very friendly and professional. If you are in the area I will definitely recommend playing there.

I played the course in December 19 and while the greed were slow but in good condition. The fairways were in excellent condition. In March of 2020 the fairways remain in excellent condition nThe greed however has deteriorated significantly. Unfortunately the day we played all the greens had just been sanded and we were never told about it until we were on the course.
