Pickering Glen Golf Club
Played On 09/05/2022Great layout... not in great condition.
Really like the layout of this course, but the greens were in rough condition (not enough tlc), as there were lots of unrepaired ball marks.
On another note, the course tracks back nine to front nine on the Garmen app and then flips the scores / hole. Very confusing to view after the round. The aggregate shot count is accurate though.
This course has tonnes of potential.
Club at Bond Head - South
Played On 07/01/2022Great day
We had a great day at Bond Head playing the South course. My only feedback is that we shouldn’t have to pay for range balls on a track like this at this price point.
Cherry Downs Golf and Country Club
Played On 05/23/2022Not a well managed course...
We went to Cherry Downs on Victoria Day hoping for a nice round of golf and when we arrived the clubhouse wasn't open, washrooms weren't operational, trees were down all over the course, and the worst part (yes it gets worse) was that the Marshall's on the course were ineffective to say the least. We spent the entire round behind a three-some who played at almost a 5-hour pace (after we were told that the course was playing at about 4 hours and five minutes. Very disappointed that we weren't given a heads-up on the state of the facilities and then having such a poor playing experience. We won't be going back any time soon.

Played On 10/17/2021Fall golf
Had a great day on Bond Head South today, but the greens are in rough condition…. It seems that the people that play the course do not repair their ball marks on the greens. The staff needs to figure out a solution for this.
Mill Run Golf Club - Championship Grist/Wheel Course
Played On 08/03/2020Good day at Mill Run
It has been about 10-yrs since I played Mill Run and it didn't disappoint. It was a great day.
Granite Ridge Golf Club - Cobalt
Played On 07/30/2020Good day on Ruby
The greens were in a sad state, but the rest of the round was excellent
Thank you for visiting us at Granite Ridge Golf Club - Cobalt. We appreciate your 4-star rating and review. We hope you join us for another round soon.
Dragon's Fire Golf Club
Played On 07/24/2020Disappointing day at Dragon’s Fire today
I played only a week ago and went back to try again and the course was in even worse condition. The greens aren’t in good shape. The course is too expensive for the shape of the course. It is a beautiful layout, but needs to be kept in better condition for this price.
Dragon's Fire Golf Club
Played On 07/17/2020A good day at Dragon’s Fire...
The course was in good shape, but the five hour round was clearly not being marshalled appropriately. We waited on every single hole and there were four groups on one of the par fours. Not sure how this is even possible with Covid protocols calling for more spacing between he tee times.
Club at Bond Head - North
Played On 07/16/2020Good dat at Bondhead today...
Enjoyed the round at Bondhead today. Still a great track and happy to come back. I have played her every few years for the past 20 and it seems to be in decline a little every time. It needs an upgrade on it's carts (GPS), and the small pre-round driving range buckets should be included (it feels nickel and dimey to be charged $6 for 20 balls prior to the round). It didn't used to be.
Lowville Golf Club
Played On 07/08/2020Good day at Lowville
Good day golfing at Lowville. The Covid protocols were solid, but the tone of the messaging around not bringing personal beverages to the course was a little stern. The person at the gate spoke to us in a way that made us feel talked down to (we didn't bring anything to the course with us outside of my partner bringing a gatorade). Then when we were on the course we didn't see the on course drink cart more than once, which was disappointing. Other than that the course was in good shape.
Club at Bond Head - North
Played On 09/05/2019Wasn't what it was...
The Club at Bond Head wasn't what it was in comparison to past experiences. The staff were more welcoming, the little extras (where they made me feel like a member even though I wasn't) were a huge impression. We used to get more guidance on how to navigate the course, I don't recall having to wait for my round so start to get access to my cart, and we used to get a nice little velour bag with a divot repair tool, a caddy guide to the course and a ball-marker. None of that exists any more except the caddy guide, which is a smaller, cheaper version with no notes, just a image of the hole with one item marked. It was a good day and the price was right, but it just wasn't what it was.
Thanks for the positive review. Your gifting may have happened on a tournament outing as we have not provided a divot tool in recent years.
We are glad to hear the experience was strong and you enjoyed the course. We hope to see you back again soon!
We can completely understand that the recent storm hit the course and was the cause of much of the challenges, but not being told before we came and then suffering a ridiculously slow round due to ineffective marshalling of the pace of play was not.
Hi DarrellDeboer. I'm sorry to hear you had a poor experience. Unfortunately we had a Tornado hit our club and much of the surrounding area on Saturday afternoon, and we therefore lost all power that has not been restored and therefore it was not possible to have our clubhouse open, but by no means was that by choice.
This was also the cause of the fallen trees, which we have been tirelessly removing just to ensure we could keep the course open. I understand your disappointment but would hope you can appreciate the unforeseen circumstances in place. We certainly hope to see you return with much more normal operations (and without the tornado aftermath).
