Brant Valley Golf Course
Played On 09/05/2022The Pictures Tricked Me
I was looking for a shorter course to play with my partner on Labor Day and thought this Golf North property could be a decent track given the pictures on the website.
Greens- slow and burnt
Fairways - tough to tell where they are and which one you are supposed to be on and man o man was the course hard!
Some holes felt like we where playing a mini putt course with balls all over the place and greens hidden.
We won’t be returning to this course any time soon.
Millcroft Golf Club
Played On 07/30/2022Nice, casual Round.
We enjoyed a nice casual round with 4 different levels of golfer. Pace was good, just over 4 hours on a holiday weekend, staff is awesome as well.
Greens are in great shape, the rough is concrete and errant shots will run miles on the hard pan. That’s nothing unique to Millcroft. Most of the courses in the GTA I’ve played in the past 2 weeks are feeling the same effects of almost O mm of ran in the month of July.

Five hours on a hot Saturday is too long to enjoy the round. The course was putting twosomes off and it really slowed the pace. It is a tough course and having some guidance would have helped. At $75 per player with cart it was a fair priced round. This course hosted the Canadian Amateur so it’s no slouch.
I would play again just maybe during the week

I get that it has been raining a lot but the majority of the fairways had substantial standing water. Balls plugged all day in this stuff. There was no roll at all. Trying to find a ball in the rough was almost impossible.
We had to stay on the cart path which meant walking a far distance to the ball and back to the cart which made this a slow round.
The course should have cut greens fees or offered some type of voucher for a return visit.
We are happy for a sunny day of golf but I needed to bring my duck boots!
It was disappointing
This spring we believe has been our worst in rainfall. It has been a challenge, thanks for the feedback
Knollwood Golf Club - New
Played On 09/16/2018Potential
This course has the potential to be a little gem in Ancaster but it’s not there. First there should have been a discount as the greens has been recently sanded. Some greens had almost no grass at all. It was ridiculous really. Tee blocks hadn’t been cut in what appeared to be days. Some had been overtaken by crab grass. Fairways were also long and had patches without grass. This course could be a challenging track but It needs a lot of TLC. At $60 per person with a cart it’s way overpriced. I would rather pay a little more and head down to any of the Niagara Parks Commission courses. Friendly staff however!
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. Thank you for the 4 stars! Thank you for playing Granite Ridge Golf Club - Cobalt.
