The fairways were in terrible condition. There was no grass, not even dormant grass. They have had lots of rain but other courses in Temecula have plenty of fairway grass. The fairways were like dirt and mud. No tuffs of grass to hit off of, you couldn't even find grass or something like it anywhere around you. I asked one of the greenskeepers where is the grass and he said they put grass seed down. Even if it washed away with the rains, that is no excuse for the poor condition. No one should play this course until summer!

I played on Wednesday, 1-25-23,. The driving range mats were brand new and great for warmup. The fairways were absolutely dead! No grass, brown and mostly dirt. They obviously did not overseed with rye but you could not move your ball within a 10 foot circle and find grass to hit from. I asked a golf course worker and asked where is the grass? He said they put grass seed down. They have had lots of rain as the fairways looked like rivers flowed over them. Until they grow grass in the fairways, you should not play this course. Terrible condition!

The greens are in great shape for early March at 4,000 feet. Fairways in decent shape except for Hole# 15 where it is all chewed up, verticut as they must be repairing a badly sloped fairway to the right. No grass in the fairway due to verticutting. Fairway needs rebuilding to get rid of the sharp slant to the right so whatever water they put on sinks in instead of running off. Greens were very good, did not make hardly any divots with approach shots. Absolutely GORGEOUS views of the red rocks especially on the back nine.

Nice layout but lots of distance between greens and tee boxes. Quite a cart ride to get to the driving range and the 1st Tee. The course is designed throughout the neighborhood but houses not close at all so some really good views. Greens were peppered with ball marks so the course must get lots of play. We did our share to repair old pitch marks.

Played in ideal weather conditions. Course design is fun, fair and true desert golf! If you get off the fairway and primary cut of rough, hitting off desert sand and rock. Greens were hard and firm, didn’t hold a few of we’ll struck approach shots going over and leaving me little chance to get up and down. Greens rolled well with some subtle breaks near the holes. Shot 78 with two 3-putts so very happy!

The Tee Boxes were full of divots and painted green. The fairways were in very bad condition as it looked like rows of corn fields with sprigs of grass. Granted, it is winter, but this course needs lots of attention. It was highly recommended to me a year ago but a real disappointment on Feb 7th. My friend and I agreed we would not play the course again due to the poor condition.

Nice layout, well fairway trapped to catch errant drives, well designed greens. Greens were fast, true and I could make good divots in the greens with my approach shots. Some fairways were well contoured so if you hit to the right side of the fairway and the fairway slanted to the left, you would be rewarded. Very enjoyable round today under 74 degrees, no wind. Perfect!

Great layout, greens rolled perfectly. Lots of water and traps but played very well. Would play it again for sure. Very friendly and professional staff!

The course was in excellent condition. Some Tee Boxes on Par 3's were full of divots with sand in them. Lots of play. Course design was very good. I shot two under my age of 75 by birdieing the last two holes so great memories shooting a 73. I would play the course again as a great bargain for the money through GolfNow.

The history of the course is superb. The greens need some help but it is mid-winter even in Las Vegas. I really enjoyed the round with plaques on several tees showing what stars lived in the houses, what movies were shot there. The Bar afterwards with all the photos of stars, players, etc. is most impressive.

They have assisted the owners of the development and conducted some great improvements. Water hazards are all full, clear. Traps are in good shape. Greens are fast and run true.

Teed off at 9:10 AM, played in 4 hours and 10 minutes. Great pace, course is in great shape and the bar in the atrium room in the hotel afterwards was tremendous!

I played Bermuda Dunes in 1965 in the Southern California Intercollegiate Tournament. I remembered holes 17 and 18 but surprisingly no others. A thrill to come back. Beautiful course with houses closer to the fairways on the Classic Front Nine than the Classic Back or newer nine. Conditions perfect and the greens are unbelievably tough due to the speed that has to be at least 11 1/2 on Stimp Meter. Still a treat after nearly 50 years!!!

The tee boxes, fairways and rough were in excellent condition. The traps were full of sand and well groomed with plenty of rakes. Some of the greens appeared to have some freezer burn on them or just burnt out by desert heat. They putted well but some greens need work. The moguls in the middle of many fairways are extremely challenging providing many hanging lies! Fabulous facility with driving ranges, putting greens and excellent bars!

My son, who is a spoiled golfer, loved the course. That is a plus as he is hard to please with course architecture, pace of play, conditions of the courses, etc. I'll be back to SilverRock GC!
