Twin Peaks Golf Course
Played On 06/26/2019Fun Colorado golf
I play this course about 5 times per year, and it is well worth the drive from Fort Collins. I have rarely had issues with my experience and the views are quite beautiful.
Twin Peaks Golf Course
Played On 06/07/2017Fun and challenging for all levels
I booked as a single and was paired with 2 other singles (they turned out to be pretty nice guys.) Checking in at the desk was a breeze and the staff was very friendly. We were sent out on time and maintained a decent pace for the first 3 holes, but then we found ourselves waiting on every hole after. It was a husband/wife twosome who was playing slow and they had nobody in front of them, so it would've been nice to either allow us to play through or pick up their own pace. Other than that, the course was in good shape, the greens rolled well and the carts were nice and clean.
Hi "coyote75" Thank you for the great review. We are glad you enjoyed your round with us today and apologize for the slow group in front of you. Next time please give the golf shop a call and we may be able to send someone out to speed up play. Thanks for the review and we hope to see you again soon.
Ute Creek Golf Course
Played On 05/04/2016Good course for the money
This was my second time playing this course, and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time. The pace was just a touch slow, but I blame it on the beautiful weather and everyone wanting to be out! The staff was very friendly and the course was in great shape. One tip - eat before you go. The food isn't bad but it's definitely overpriced for what you get. All in all, if I'm able to get out for under $30 per person again, I'll jump on it!
Painted Dunes Desert Golf Club - East/West Course
Played On 06/22/2015Avoid the league times
I was looking forward to experiencing some good desert golf while I was in town, so I had high hopes. Unfortunately, there were 4 groups who went out in front of me and they were all part of a league. As such, they refused to let me play through and the pro shop staff acted like nothing could be done. The course itself was in ok shape, but not quite what I expected for the money. The greens were nice but the fairways were a mix of burned spots and overwatered swamp. I eventually joined a threesome of locals who were very nice in sharing course knowledge.
Prescott Golf Club
Played On 09/22/2014Best local course for the money
The Prescott tri-cities area has a fair selection of courses to choose from, but PCC tends to deliver the best value for your dollar. The course is in very good Fall shape and offers a great alternative to the hot desert golf found in the Phoenix area. A few holes require thoughtful shot making, but this is balanced with a number of forgiving fairways and manageable greens.
StoneRidge Golf Course
Played On 05/25/2014Beautiful high-desert golf
I've played this course many times since they first opened and it never ceases to be an enjoyable challenge. The greatest benefit here is course knowledge, or at least playing with someone who knows the course. There are a great many blind shots and the smart plays are rewarded. The only drawback is a lack of a marshal to regulate the pace of play. Newcomers and less-skilled golfers tend to slow the pace on a course that is already long and challenging.Overall, this is definitely a must play venue.
Thank you for taking the time to review us coyote75. Your feedback is valuable, and we look forward to delivering you excellent service again soon. Twin Peaks Golf Course thanks you!
