Deer Brook Golf Club
Played On 05/24/2016Great course conditions
This course is well maintained. If you are looking for a course that has good tee boxes, beautiful fairways, bunkers full of sand and very good greens than you have found it with this one. Front nine has nice elevation changes. Back nine has dog legs, water and pull up shots.

Played On 09/14/2015Very Good Course, beware of fast undulating greens
Played here for the first time. Well maintain course from Tee boxes to fairways to traps. The greens are in excellent condition and roll fast. They are undulating so get your read right and speed right or suffer 3 putts, you've been warned. Par 5 are a little short so a chance at birdie. Plenty of water with and island green. Pace of play was not great but I think this was do to a two some that was learning game. I enjoyed this course enough that I cancel a meeting and played back 9. The culd house is dated and the food is only simple sandwiches, burgers, dogs...however burger was good. Very friendly staff. In my opinion it's the 2nd best course in Lancaster. I still think Edgewater is better in terms of course beauty, elevation changes and pace of play. It doesn't have and island green however.

The course is in very good condition. Very surprise after a brutal summer with heat and lack of rain. Tee boxes are mostly good. Fairway and traps to greens are in excellent conditions. Even the ruff is in good shape although high. Staff at club house is usually man by one person but he is friendly and personable. real southern hospitality. There was a two groups of 4 just in front of me so he offered some free practice balls to warm -up while I waited. Very good practice area with driving range chipping area and practice green that are undulating.

Played On 05/10/2015Nice course
I was in Cleveland had sometime on the weekend visiting from NC. This course was attractive and well maintain when it came to the greens, fairway and bunkers. more scenic than I had expected. Staff friendly and helpful. On course is a starter, no marshal. I would recommend and play again. Fairway grass was rye be my guess. I thought it look great and played great. Different than the Bermuda I am accustom to playing on.

First the staff is very friendly. The course I found to be okay not very challenging but fun. Hole number to is easy but the green is off to the left not a dog leg but hard to see. Tee boxes were ok. The greens were better. The carts are in good shape. Fairways as a whole were average some great other in need of tlc. Ruff a little thick. Bunkers in good shape. more of a driver than I expected this is East of city. I enjoyed playing however. The fairways appeared to be rye grass something I was not use to and I am not sure about the greens not bent or so I think. Would play again.

Played On 04/28/2015Potential, but needs work.
Play here on my way home from Florence. Course not great or good. Fairway need work. Greens are a little better. Course difficult to navigate especially going from 3 to 4 and 16 to 17. Carts are driven on Par 3s. Cart paths hit or miss. Back 9 was once probably beautiful. Carts seem to be new and are in great shape. Bunkers varied from good to poor. Given the amount of rain fall and temps I expected better. Coures has very easy holes and a few challenging ones especially in back 9.

Played On 10/15/2014What a surprisingly beautiful course.
This course is very well maintained. The fairways are great. Then greens look great and roll true. Five skill levels from tee. Tee shot area's good. Not a fan of wood markers but the areas once again are all in great shape. This course is beautiful. Hard to find use GPS. Great value for play and course maintenance. I'll be back.

Played On 08/26/2014Rural coures with surprising elevation changes
This is my second time and will not be my last . Good looking, challenging course which is rural but picturesque. Especially on some holes which makes you feel like your in the mountains. Water, elevation changes and of course some guarded greens by bunkers make for a fun but challenging course. Upkeep is good on fairways and greens are good. Carts are in good shape however cart paths are bad, with elevation change possible even dangerous.

Played On 08/25/2014Good changes in elevations
I am a novice golfer. Just started about 8 weeks back but I play about 2-3 times a week. I found this course to be in fairly good shape, however I consider Monroe and Lancaster to better. The enjoyable things are the changes in elevation which you notice early, fairly large fairway with a few narrow ones. Bunkers in good shape. Staff is friendly this includes grounds maintence. One actually help me find a ball I hooked and lost. Good value. Plenty of water but none are really hazards with exception of two. Overall fair course great value but Monroe better minus elevation challenges.
Monroe Country Club
Played On 08/14/2014New to game. Back nine very large greens, nice for novice.
Excellent course for the value. Staff friendly and helpful. Greens are in very good shape. Fun course with some easy holes and some challenging ones. One of the best in area and the value is the best for the quality of course maintenance.
