Friendly staff, greens are slower than they look, fairways have some brown spots but overall are playable. Some sand traps are hard like concrete, literally. Would play again and hope for faster greens and more lush fairways.

Played On 10/29/2013Deceptively fun course with well maintained greens and GPS Carts!
Played on a Tuesday and started at 12:30 and finished in less than 3 hrs with no rush at all. Back nine has some nice forced carry holes. Greens are comparable to nicer courses but slower. They have one of the best practice putting green that I have seen in all of OC. Yes it's in Santa Ana, but it somehow has a nice secluded feel.
Heartwell Golf Course
Played On 10/04/2013Paid $8.00 for 18 holes and the front desk gave us a free cart.
Longest hole is about 135 yards. Greens were so soft that my balls would get buried half way in and stick with no role or bounce.
Other parties would drive the carts right up to the edge of the greens. Whats in my bag: 9 iron, GW, LW, SW and putter. Great course for beginners. Hey, this is where Tiger Woods used to play!

The spam with rice wrapped in seaweed rolls from the food cart may not be the most fresh.
