Bunkers are a little thin with sand. That's it. Great friendly people. Great layout, great condition. And a great find on golf now that included lunch.

What one used to be a top notch course is turning into a hanger on. From the poor condition of the parking lot through crab grass in the fairways and hard pan bunkers. A great set out just very poorly maintained

First time ever playing this gem of a course. Can't wait to play ir again. And can't wait to play it in the summer. Some of the friendliest staff ive ever met at a golf course.

As much as I love this course, the staff etc etc, it pains me to see the course becoming tough round the edges. Bunkers are a disgrace. Holding water, when there is no water there's no sand and when there is sand it seems to be cheap and full of stones. Greens have taken an age to come around this year, maybe due to early aeration. It's still a great course just hope this isn't a steady money saving decline.

Course was in good condition considering how wet July has been. New owner seems to be on top of things although the "marshalls" could do with better guidance of how to hurry people along or something. Considering that this is a 36 hole venue, 9 holes shouldn't take close on to 3 hours

Much improved over my last visit late on in 2013. For mid march in Ohio, the bunkers and greens are in great shape. Once the fairways firm up it will be so much better.

Greens great, fairways recovering from aeration. Bunkers superb. Can't fault the course for this time of year in Ohio. PLUS carts ONLY on path on Par 3's and 2 par 4s.

Decided to take the plunge and play the "Original" at Shaker while it was only $20 through GolfNow. After reading alot of negative reviews it was with great relief and surprise that the course is in such excellent condition. GREAT job to the grounds crew and new owners. Woodlands was in great shape as was Lakeside although it was a little wet underfoot and the grounds staff werent able to get rid of all the leaves etc without damaging the course. Reg golf now price of $45 is a little steep for this time of year. But great signs for a stellar 2014.

So happy to see this course on golf now. As a state park course its one of THE best. One review complained about "walking members", just to clarify, THERE ARE NO MEMBERS, walking or otherwise. Its an out and out public course. It is, however a GREAT walking course. It is also NOT A SHORT COURSE. From the tips its over 7000 yds. Its HARD put in great condition, even after rain and green airations. Grab your clubs and get out there while the weather is good.

First off let me say I had a great deal from GN, however, I put poor value for money because anyone paying anything over $25 would be royally ripped off. They're losing fairways left and right. The greens which used to be smooth and true are now full of unrepaired pitchmarks and are dying in places. Lets not forget about the pin placements. How can you have a 8ft uphill put, the ball stops an inch from the hole then roles back 5ft???? Was it major week?????? All the ponds are smelly stagnent pools with no oxygenation whatsoever. Another really nice track, going by the wayside because money hungry management won't put the money back into the course.

Love this course. Price fantastic through GOLFNOW, Great to play a course with no houses squeezing you in. Bunkers are looking sooooo much better. Greens could have been quicker but with the heat and traffic understandable they were not. For as busy as the course was today, the pace of play was great, 4.5 hour round with no rushing at all. Keep up the great work guys.

One of my favorite layouts. Alas, that is not everything. Bunkers are nothing but sodden sandy weedbeds and long crab grass growing if not taking over the fairways. Greens are great. Just needs some serious TLC.
