Rio Hondo Golf Club
Played On 02/06/2022Be prepared for very slow pace of play on the weekend
I liked the course layout but the pace of play was painfully slow. We started our round at 1pm, and made it to hole 13 by 5:20pm. Had to stop because it was too dark to see the ball. Most holes we were waiting on 2 groups of 4-some’s in front of us before we could tee-off.
I don’t think we’ll be back. Not worth the money.

We enjoyed playing this course. We were initially frustrated at having to half-hour to start past our scheduled tee-time due to cart unavailability.
We had a scheduled 3pm tee-time. According to the starter, lack of carts is a regular occurrence on weekends. So, plan accordingly if you have an afternoon tee-time.

Dad Miller Golf Course

Dad Miller course was is great shape. Please make sure that you bring plenty of water to maintain hydration during hot weather as there are no vending machines available around the facility to purchase drinks, and the pro shop sells no beverages!! The bar/restaurant at the facility sells beverages but closes quite early so you may suffer from dehydration if you have an afternoon tee time (as we did), if you lack this information as a first time visitor to this golf course. Also, the only restroom available is next to the club house. All the restrooms out on the course are closed!!

Played On 01/20/2019Challenging par 3 course with some pretty narrow fairways and large trees that require accuracy out on the course. Hole 9 is especially challenging as it requires you to hit directly over 2 small bodies of water, the first one of which is spraying a large fountain of water directly in front of the tee box area.
