Considering it's rained heavily the past week, the course was in great shape. I was expecting cart path only but it wasn't (pleasant surprise).
This was my 2nd time playing this course and I think I prefer it over Oak Glen. Some tight holes, some "swing away" holes and great scenery. The greens were a little slow but I think the weather caused some of that.
Pace of play was good and it was a good day overall. I'll definitely be back.

Even after all the rain the course was in great shape. Greens were fast and as always tough to read.
For my money the best course in San Diego. I actually became a member I like it so much.

The week of rain took its toll on the course but it was still a fun round.
Very friendly staff , could have used a refreshment cart though.
I plan to play it again once it dries out.

It was slow! Can’t complain about the course conditions but the pace of play was not great. It took nearly an hour to play the first 3 holes before we saw a Marshal. To their credit, they did handle the problem.

Course is in great shape. Finished a round in under 4hrs.

Haven’t played here since early in the summer and it was in terrible shape so I was really excited to see the results of the repairs after their long closure.
Not impressed, maybe I don’t understand the art of golf course maintenance but if thats what the greens look like after months of repairs I think you wasted your money. Though the fairways are lush and will be really nice once they are cut properly, the greens are still in terrible shape. I was expecting so much more.
I used to have this course on my rotation of courses, sadly I won’t be playing here again for a while. For the price, the course should be in better condition.

Easily my favorite course and the best course in San Diego. Despite all the rain the past couple days the course was in amazing condition. You won’t find a better course , tougher challenge or friendlier staff anywhere!

This is a great course, it’s definitely worth the drive from San Diego.
Staff was awesome and course was in great shape considering the weather this week. However, Today a marshal would have come in handy though, 5hrs as a 2sum!

The course is in great shape. The greens roll true and the rough is fair. Pace was a bit slow but overall had a great day.

Way back in the day this course may have been the premier east county course but those days are long gone.
That said, its not a terrible course but its far from great. This is a “ basic” course, no frills. No starter, no marshals, not even cart paths. I will give kudos to the staff, especially the cart girl who was extremely friendly and available, and the greens, though cosmetically not the best they rolled true despite all the leaves.
After a 5+ hour round, I don’t think I’d recommend this course to anyone nor do I think I’ll play here again.

Played Ranch Vineyard (Canyon closed), both in great shape. Vineyard greens are really rolling quick!
Another enjoyable round, my favorite course in San Diego.

Played here earlier in the year and really didn’t enjoy so I decided to give them another chance.
It was better this time but not great. Had fun and the course is a decent test but its got some trouble areas. A few of the tee boxes, some of the fairways and the greens could use some work.

Overall for the price (got a Hot deal) it was a decent round.

Course is in decent shape but the greens are very slow. Nice staff and good pace of play.
Great day for a round of golf. I’ll be back.

As usual the course was in great shape. Don’t let the length fool you, this course is a challenge.
If only they had a range to warm up this course would be 5 star.

This is quickly becoming my favorite course. Always in great shape, always a challenge and you won’t find a friendlier staff.

Normally the course is in decent shape, not today. The greens, fairways and tee boxes are in terrible condition.
I’ve played this course several times before and always found it in good, if not great, shape.
I definitely won’t be playing there again for a while.

My second time playing here and though it was hot and I didn’t play well; the experience was once again awesome.
Great staff, course in excellent shape, challenging and pace of play was perfect. This is quickly becoming my favorite course.

First I’ve never played a course with a friendlier more professional staff and I mean everyone. From start to finish everyone we encountered was very nice and helpful.
The course, we started Canyon/Ranch, is in amazing shape and the veiws are absolutely gorgeous. Very challenging but fair and fun layout. The greens are quick with some very tricky breaks.
We liked that 18 so much we paid for a replay to play Vineyards! 27 holes of awesomeness!!

If I could give this course 6 stars, I would! Great day and I’ll definitely be back.

The staff was extremely nice but the course didn’t meet my expectations. Nice layout but the course just isnt in good shape right now. Tee boxes need work, the fairways have lots of dead spots, the bunkers are rock hard and the greens are just ok. My major complaint however was the pace of play,although the Marshal did his best to speed things up and even made it a point to apologize for the pace, it took the fun and rythmn out of the game waiting so long between swings.
Also, only saw the cart girl once the entire round.

Don’t let the drive stop you from giving this course a try. Course is in great shape and though short, definitely a challenge for your game. Beautiful scenery on the drive to the course as well as from every hole on the course.
It was my first time there but definitely won’t be my last. Give it a try!!
