Local business mini tournament was cause of slow play. Front 9 was the issue because the local Ryobi employees had mini 9 hole tournament. Often found 4 to 5 twosomes on same hole waiting. Course was in fair conditions. Most fairways have severe slope due to the being very hilly, they are also very fast. You will need to play the the terrain to keep it in play. Not much rough to slow the ball down anywhere on the course. Greens are also very fast and any minor stroke imperfections will find your ball far from hole or off the green. Chances are slim I would play here again, being from out of town or if I was in area.

It was not long ago, maybe couple of years this course was in bad shape. The new greens are in good condition fairways are ok, not lush. Rough is average. Tee boxes slightly below average. Bunkers need some work to be average or better.

There are a few issues with bunkers on the back 9 but I assume they are working on all of them seeing how the front 9 bunkers seem to have nice new sand. Course is good layout with interesting holes and challenges. Will be back just not sure when. I stay 1.5 hours away.

Not sure if this is intentional or not but the majority of greens are badly damaged or lost. Maybe they are planning to replace them. There is a lot of work going on out there. Lots of pines being removed, the par 3s with pond are drained and work is being done on retaining walls. 17 was closed. Fairway are filling in, the few greens that were in slightly better condition were hard and died out. Personally I will give the course some time before returning, I like course just not in this bad of condition.

Handful of greens have damaged areas. Some areas beyond rough are really bad. Some worn down areas through rough from carts. May be somewhat better during prime growing season, still dormant rough and over seed fairways. Not many picturesque holes mostly houses. I would try again during prime season.

Course is a nice design, several holes are picturesque. Staff I encountered were very welcoming and accommodating. Lots of ground’s work being done mid morning to afternoon and was distracting. Will play again when possible hopefully when course is at its peak growing season.

Some changes since I played here last year. The practice area is one, the cart pick up is another, staff has changed as well as cost of practice balls. The chipping area is nicer, the synthetic grass mats was moved back and made into a row with larger grass area. The carts are no longer at the drop off area. They are at the bottom of the hill at the pro shop where it is easier for staff to assign cart # to your group. First staff I in countered was at the cart storage was upbeat, offered a ride down to the pro shop to check in and get cart. The guy at check in was not as upbeat and aloof. Seems as he could be a jerk but was not to me. The range balls are as expensive as I have seen, $7 for a small which they were not my last visit. Course was in ok shape fairways are fast as are the greens. I didn’t pay close attention to all bunkers but the one I found myself in had been raked and had enough sand in it to be played from. Some greens had dead spots around the edges and some show signs of replacement areas. Great temperature, great day to play a round of golf.

Course is a nice track but still needs help. Last year it was advertised that they have new course management. The only improvement as far as playing conditions from last season that is noticeable is that the greens have been softened. Greens are not grown in all the way or worse case they are loosing them. Bunkers are bad and not maintained, for some time now. Fairways, rough etc areas are not consistent and at times difficult to make a good stroke. I like this course. I will give it some time and try it again.

Knowing this course will definitely help you score better, albeit still a tough course. These greens are some of the more difficult I have played, lots of undulation, very slick and some tough pin locations. This track is not very forgiving of errant shots either. Mostly lined by wooded, craggy and often not clearly marked as to whether it is a penalty area. It was a bit of a drive for me (Cola) but will return for the challenge of playing the course better. Better than average course and conditions.

This course has had course condition issues for some time now (years). It would be nice if they would circle the really bad areas in the rough and fairways as ground under repair. I did notice they have new golf carts and they were off loading new maintenance equipment, so maybe, just maybe, the course will get better this year or the next. Hope it does because it is a challenging course without bad conditions.

Unfortunately the staff is more concerned with you not having a “cooler” than how they treat you as a guest. I’m not talking about beer, just a power aid, energy drink and water. The water was in a reusable container so it was ok. I tried to explain the rule doesn’t make much sense because most golf bags have cooler pockets, the starter wasn’t having it and went and got a desk jockey to help with the removal of the my cooler bag. I feel bad that this course is hurting financially, to make such an effort to try and squeeze a few dollars out of their guests to such a degree that is not welcoming. Maybe telling me it is a non posted rule that we are now enforcing, next time please don’t bring your cooler, would have been better. I have been to this course with a cooler many times without a mention of it not being acceptable. I would suggest just bring drinks and snacks in your golf bag and a yeti full of ice and don’t spend a dime at this place as well as saving you the less than enjoyable harassment that I experienced. I do not plan on spending any of money here because of this, at least for the foreseeable future.

Course has made a lot of improvements and hopefully they continue.

Year round course is in better than average condition. If it is your first time on the course there are two holes on the back that are a bit quirky. 10 & 12 both are no more than 200 yards off the tee for me. 10 stay on the left side of fairway for a good angle over the water to the green. 12 play it straight away, 3 shot hole to the green which slopes from back to front severely and is quick, stay below the hole to have best shot at birdie or par. According to locals, the greens were punch over a month ago but they still have hole and it does have a negative impact on putting. Enjoyed the group I was paired with. Otherwise the course is in good condition slightly above average.

I played this course earlier this year when it was still dormant and was impressed with the greens condition. This made me want to go back later in the season when everything would be green and lush. Well this was not the case, not sure what happened to the greens but they are in bad shape especially around the edges 2’ to 3’ in with the occasional bad area within the green. Also I found the bunker to be thin and hard packed with the fabric barrier showing through. One other thing I did not expect was that my early tee time would be before the range was open. I will go back just maybe not as often being that I live just over an hour away. I plan on calling to find out which 9’s are open as well, still haven’t played Vintage yet, both time it was closed for maintenance.

Prior to booking I called to find out course conditions as well as their price per round to compare to GN's. Which was $37 compared to a none hot deal price of $24. (Why would you want to pay $13 more). I was told the course was is good condition which is turns out was a lie. There are a several holes where the greens are in dire straits, in need of serious help. I played this course last year and it was in ok condition. The problem I have is the staff are not honest and don't mention other details such as club dog fights- 5+ groups of 5 that have these matches during the week and weekend. The tee times that are within an hour or so after these matches start should not be available on GN. It makes for a horrible experience having to wait for these groups. Also the staff should mention this whenever a customer calls to gather info about the course. One should not have to ask specific questions to get a truthful answer. It will be awhile before I return to this course, that's if I do return. GL.
