This is a local course. It is in good condition for a public course in southeast Texas. Played the old 18 and the greens were nice. Never exceptional but usually a fun round and good value.

The course in Humble seems to be a bit weathered but for a fan of professional golf it is still fun to play these re-created holes. The first hole has lost the Lighthouse from Harbourtown but the hole is just as I remember. Add in a few deer milling around and it was a nice start to our round. Be aware that if you lose focus this course will steal strokes in hand fulls. We played from the tips and it was not too long. Play form were you are comfortable and try to imagine you are at these great holes. Bring your short game also, some of the up and downs are pretty tricky. Good time.

What a shame. Brentwood has fallen to the bottom of the list of places to play in the Beaumont area. The layout has alway been a bit sketchy in spots but conditions used to make it worth playing. Not anymore. From the tee boxes to the greens, there are real issues. Bunkers are unplayable. The fairways are a bumpy mess, catapulting drives in all directions. And the cart paths will destroy most 4wheel drives much less carts. Can't think of anything positive to say except Mother Nature seems to be trying to reclaim the green on the ridiculous short par 4 6th hole. The elevated green is slowly collapsing in the gulley behind. Good riddance. Turn it into a long par 3 already.
Hope someone finds a way to revive this course. We really need a decent place to play in Beaumont Texas.

Course is always in good shape and usually not too crowded but other than on the first tee you never see a marshal. The last couple of times we played the course, it has bunched up and got really slow. There were plenty of open holes but no marshal to break up the jam. Ruins the round.

Great course. Love the way the greens are segmented with shelves and other terrain changes. Fairways are in great shape. Avoid those deep bunkers!
