First time playing the course. Twice we had the ranger stop by with the second time asking us to skip the next hole. We were a foursome that finished the round in four hours and six minutes. Each time he visited us we were properly within expectations for a four hour round. Both times he told us the group behind us was calling and complaining. We happened to meet that group later in the parking lot and they denied calling and thought our pace was just fine. Went from having an enjoyable round that we drove 90 minutes to experience to an overall miserable encounter. Two of our foursome had a similar experience with this course a year ago when the two tee times ahead of their scheduled tee were no shows. The ranger chased them around the course trying to get them to close the gap on the group that started play almost twenty minutes before them. Thought the previous experience was an aberration but apparently it is systemic. What a shame!!

Only bad part was playing on a Sunday AM and they had a group of six and then a group of five (members) in front of me. As a single I expected to catch the group in front of me but that group had lost contact with the larger group in front of them and play became painfully slow.
