Enjoyed my round at this course today. Very interesting course design. challenging greens often with tricky approaches. Many mature trees and well placed traps. Fairways were a little rough in spots. Overall my favourite golf round this winter.
Eglin AFB Golf Course - Eagle

Strange course. Some interesting holes and very good setting for a course. However, a few holes were so tilted that even drives hit totally to one side would end up on the other extreme after roll. Some very dry and unkempt areas off fairways. Some patchy greens, though design of greens was interesting and challenging. Course staff very welcoming. Cart pick up and drop off somewhat awkward..
Indian Bayou Golf Club

Enjoyed a very nice round at Indian Bayou. Paired with 2 great guys from Kentucky. Course in great shape. Very consistent challenging greens. Enjoyed the wooded Choctaw 9. Could have been more varied - many doglegs. The Creek 9 more open with some challenging approaches and a bit more variety of design. Great first day overall !
