Ocean City Golf Club - Seaside
Played On 07/05/2020Decent Course
Seaside Course is a nice warm up track, most hazards do not come into play from the white tees. Pace of play was great, greens smooth & true, rough not too penal. They could use a little better signage, but you learn quickly. If you need a good warm up round before playing the tougher courses in the area I highly recommend this course, bag drop & club house very friendly, I will return to try the Newport Bay Course.
Jonathan's Landing Golf Course
Played On 10/15/2017Nice Surprise
First time here, conditions all round were good, only caveat was the greens were wet from morning dew, and stayed that way almost the whole round, made for some extra putts that may not have been.. Will give this place another try, clubhouse guy was friendly and we were paired with two other golfers, starter did offer us to play as a twosome if we wanted, which was nice.
Colts Neck Golf Club
Played On 02/19/2017Off Season Conditions
While other courses I have played in the area the greens are dormant and pins are alternated between two locations, here they have temp. tee boxes and temp greens, so making an assessment on the course would not be fair. Staff was friendly and the course looks to be a winner when regulation tee boxes and greens (March 11th) are in play. Using golf now I paid $36.00/per, had I called the course and asked about the course conditions I would have opted out, my bad. Methinks the price I paid was on the high side for temp greens/tee boxes. Because it is still the off season I am not going to trash this course, I will give the benefit of the doubt and maybe try again in better days.

When in the area, play this course. My buddy and I arrived just time for our 8:13 tee time, the parking lot and bag drop teeming with golfers, immediately I am thinking we are paired with another twosome and a long day on the course, not so! We were greeted nicely in the pro shop, were told that all the activity was a Golf League and they were going off the back shotgun, what a relief!. We went to the 1st tee and were greeted again nicely, course in excellent shape, nice mix of holes, some challenging shots to be made. Greens looked weird with splotches, but were as smooth and true as could be. All in all a great little Gem here, from tee to green and a nice staff to boot. Even the prices on hats in the pro shop were good! Plus $25.00 w/cart for Seniors can't be beat.

1st time here, cloudy and rain threat all afternoon, quickly adapted to conditions, we were one a very few souls out there on a foggy/cool rain drizzle afternoon, but it was well worth it. The pro shop said the rain will help your game today, he was spot on, the greens were as smooth and fast as any duffer would want them to be and these greens were slowed by the dampness (thank God). I will go back and play this track again, just for the challenge, very nice layout and the guide markers in center fairway were a godsend, being a links style course it is a 'must have' for new players and I am sure even the experienced veteran. Anyone in the Lancaster area as we were be sure to take the 25 mile trek to play this Gem, well worth the time & travel, staff and course are Top Notch.

Played here on Good Friday (3/25/16), nice staff and course in markedly good condition for late March. Greens rolled well (not mid July mind you), fairways in good shape. There were a few thing that could use improvement, carts paths are in pretty bad condition, no ball washers, trash cans could use better attention (too full). Near the near of the round there was a group of 6 (yes 6) slowing things down, we caught them on 18, so no worries for us, but I am sure there were some groups in front of us that must have been irritated, that is just plain ignorant. Back to golf, there is an interesting mix of holes on this track, long and short, I will give it another look.
Bunker Hill Golf Course
Played On 10/12/2014Decent Value
This is a decent medium range golf course a bit on the short side for distance. Played on a Sunday afternoon with my son in laws, a walk-on was mixed in with our group, only problem was he had an agonizing set-up routine that clearly put us behind on our pace, he only hit irons also, so most times we had to wait on his 2nd shot, I think I will decline if we play here again and he is offered to us.(lol). The greens were the best part of this course, terrific condition and speed, par 4's on the short side too, if you hit for any distance off the tee your short irons got a lot of work. I would play here again, but not for too much money, it's just a cut above a muni. Also, most bunkers were lacking typical bunker sand, they were all compacted due to either neglect or constant rain, my guess is they don't refill their bunkers on a consistent basis. Saw about a half dozen deer (couple nice size ones) walking about, they didn't seem to mind our presence.

Got a decent weekend rate ($28.00 w/cart), pleasantly surprised with course conditions, nice mix of holes, only drawback was that there was no Ranger in sight and play was exceedingly slow due to a foursome several groups ahead of us. A rerouting of holes would be nice as you get a par 3 on hole #2 and before you get off of #1 you can clearly see the line of carts waiting to play the 2nd hole. Beverage cart was around to see us several times front and back. Rough is thick, so try to keep it in the fairway, greens a tad slow but not severe, I will return.
We really appreciate the great review, beamer1946! We love hearing that our golfers enjoyed their time with us and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
