Great value

Booked as a single and played with a threesome of very nice locals. The homemade salsa thar came with the burrito was best I ever taster, and the chef gave me the recipe. Very nice facility.

Not in its prime, but a great layout.

Has lots of really nice terrain which provides challenges for a variety of shots - draws, fades, forced carries, side hills, risk-reward, etc. Your driver better be working and your irons reasonably accurate if you want to score. Greens were in good+ condition. I've played 9 courses in the Green Valley/Tubac/Nogales area in the past 2 weeks and this course was the most interesting and scenic. While not in its prime, it is in same or better condition than other course in the area I've played, and the best architectural layout of all. Warning: When you arrive, don't be fooled by the austere appearance of the pro shop and driving range. Step onto #1 blue tee for a glance of what is ahead - par 5 with 50 ft drop from tee to fairway, forced carry over a lake, to a fairway that doglegs right. As already noted, your driver better be working today. Game on!

Nice layout, Rancho 9 is quite scenic.

If you play the back tees, bring your A game - trees and water beckon your ball.

Could be beautiful layout but maintenance is lacking.

Surely a beautiful course when properly maintained. Some reasonably long forced carries and narrow chutes, and lack of maintenance makes scoring more difficult than it otherwise would be. From gold (back) tees, couple of blind tee shots. Greens were spotty in areas due to grass kill. Would really like to play this course when in better condition. Suggestion: Handicap above 6 to 8 do not play gold tees. If a first timer, spend the extra $5 and get the booklet with course layout and distances to various objects/hazards.
