Course is rounding into shape. Grass needs a good cutting and so do the greens. Greens very slow and no roll in the fairways. Always liked the layout but where was the starter? Saw him when we arrived but not for the next 20-30 minutes. Golfers left to arrange tee off to themselves. On the course, the ranger was very friendly but never pushed the slow golfers in front of us. By the time we realized that they were more than 2 holes behind the group in front of them we were almost finished. Waited on every hole, every shot. Skipped the 17th hole and still finished in over 5 hours! Very discouraging!!!

Have played the course many times. This time we played in about 4 hours which was great. Usually pretty slow. If you’re looking for a course that’s well manicured this is not it. But the greens fees are the most reasonable in the area and the layout is fun to play. Fairways are sparse but the greens are pretty decent. Compared to Manatee, whose greens fees are a joke this season, this is a bargain! Staff is as friendly as they come.

Hadn’t played this course in awhile and had not heard good things. My experience was very good. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Was running late for my tee time as a single. Called and there was no issue. This is not a lush course but very playable. The greens overall were excellent. Fast and ran true. Layout is challenging but fair. And Costco is 2 minutes away!! What more could you want?

Played this course many times over the last few years and it’s probably in the best condition I’ve seen. Doesn’t seem to be getting the amount of play it deserves??? Grass driving range, sand trap, putting green make for a good warm up/practice area. Last 3 finishing holes 16, 17 and 18 rank up there with the areas best.

First time playing this course and the experience couldn’t have been better. Everyone was super friendly and seemed to want to make sure you had a good experience. Range balls are included in the greens fee as well as a putting and chipping area. As for the course, good condition, really enjoyable layout with multiple tees to choose from. The greens were fast and true, really nice to putt on. Played in 3 hrs 45 min.

Always enjoy playing Buffalo Creek. Good mix of distinctive holes make this one of my favorites in the Palmetto, Bradenton, Sarasota area. The greens are in excellent shape as well. On this day the only negative was pace of play.

First time playing this course. I have to say it was an enjoyable round. Conditions were very good, greens were a nice speed and condition but sand traps were hit or miss as some had good sand and some were not conditioned at all and wet. Lots of sand traps and some made the holes harder since they were lined up in the fairway at a dogleg with another trap on the other side of the fairway, so you either had to lay up, hit over them if you’re a long hitter or hit a perfect shot between them. (Ha ha)
Water comes into play on a few holes as well. After playing I have to say that there were really no memorable holes that you’d tell your friends about but some really enjoyable ones. Driving range is grass with floating balls and a good putting and chipping green.

Wonderful conditions, excellent greens, friendly staff and great practice facilities make for an very enjoyable day of golf. Played the middle and back nine after a few days of heavy rain and the course had drained well with 90 degree cart rule. This course is a step above most other area courses.

Nice layout...course in decent shape. Not a big fan of the greens. Slow, fast, bumpy....Hard to get a good read on them. Otherwise, if you don't take your score to seriously you can have fun on this course. 4 1/2 hour round.

Read some reviews where they said GolfNow players were not treated well. That was not our experience at all. Staff was great from the ladies in the clubhouse to the starter to the guy who took care of our cart after the round. As for the course...fun to play, the fairways were decent and the greens were excellent. To warm up the driving range is 2 mats with nets to hit into and a putting green. Played in a little over 4 hours.

Played last January and it was awful...They have made great improvements since then. Was really an enjoyable round. Course was in pretty good shape and the layout has always been pretty, pretty good. A very enjoyable 3 1/2 hour round!

As one of two Manatee county courses we were not expecting much after playing Manatee last week. But this course has character! Interesting layout and the greens were in excellent shape. Undulating fairways and greens with some water thrown in make for some fun golf. I would say the most interesting course we've played around Bradenton. Would definitely recommend it!

Course layout is enjoyable. Grass driving range, good for practicing. Little unorganized at the first tee. There was no starter there so we kind of slotted ourselves in. Greens in poor condition. I wouldn't go out of my way to play this course, but it was an enjoyable day of golf on an average course. 4 hour round

One of the better courses we play when visiting the area. Enough water, traps and variety of holes to keep it interesting. Greens are in good shape and hold approach shots. On this day we played behind IMG students playing a tournament as well as other kids on the course. Great to see them as well as others from many countries All carrying their clubs. All very friendly and respectful. During a delay in front of us one of them came all the way back to our green from his tee box to apologize for the delay.
Great practice facilities including a driving range, chipping area, sand traps and putting green, with free balls to use.

Haven't played the course for a few years. Is a very interesting layout. Lots of doglegs and lots of water. After a couple of holes I was standing on the side of the fairway and was about to hit my next shot when I realized I couldn't tell if I was in the fairway or not. That's because it all looked the same. Weeds and grass all mixed together. So, while you can certainly play from this stuff, because it's very low, I don't know if you'd call it fairway. Lots of roll on this course. Greens pretty decent. Tee boxes can use some mowing. So while I enjoyed playing and loosing some balls at Tara, it could use some serious work to get it up to snuff. 1 1/2 hr front 9, 2 1/2 hour back.

Love taking the ferries across from the south fork to play Islands End. The Greenport area is a special place to visit, especially after Labor Day without the crowds. Low key golf course with grass driving range, putting green and sand trap to practice and warm up on. Greens had been aerated when we played so that made putting more of an adventure than it usually is, but all in all a great place to play for golfers of all skill levels.

Had played this course in an MGA tournament a couple of years ago and didn't remember much since we were involved in a competition. Came back to play an afternoon round with my wife and thoroughly enjoyed the course. Good condition and some very pretty holes. Loved Jc's restaurant as well. Great for a beer and food after the round. Everyone in the pro shop and restaurant were very friendly.

Hadn't played Clearview in at least 15 years because it took over 5 1/2 hours to play. Thought I'd give it another try. Course was in decent condition considering the heat we had this summer. Greens were soft, receptive and fairly slow. But the waiting took the fun out. All tee boxes had at least 1 foursome waiting to hit, with some having 2 foursomes. Left after 14 holes and 4 1/2 + hours. I'm told it's always like this. Won't be returning any time soon.

Nice practice facilities, putting green, grass driving range and friendly staff. The course layout is tight with lots of water. Good condition, slow greens. Trees come into play near the greens on some holes. The last few holes on the back 9 are very nice holes indeed. Good pace of play, 4 hour round. All in all, definitely worth playing.
