Savannah Golf Links
Played On 05/17/2018Very interesting!!
Course layout demands a variety of shots. Good change in elevations, sand in strategic locations, enough water to keep you alert. Par 3s on the short size but with large greens .. chance to grab some birdies. Staff provided a layout book as we were first time players. Extremely useful. Course in good condition with the greens on the slow side. Looking forward to bringing some golfing buddies here.
Conestoga Golf and Country Club - Goose Run/Moors
Played On 07/03/2014Interesting and different nines
played Moors and Village nines with a cart and flew around the course in under 3 hours as a twosome- first time in the am. Moors plays longer and challenges you to play all of your clubs. Greens in great shape and fairly large. Village nine plays by the river and is shorter. Geese are with you for 1,2 and 5. The par fives are mainly protected on the front left side so keep your second shots on the right side of the fairways for better angles.
Victoria Park Valley Golf Club - Lakes Course
Played On 06/30/2014Short game tuneup
excellent course for tuning up your short game. Only 1 par 5 when playing Lakes and Pines. Majority of holes are par 3s
averaging 150 yards from the blues. Greens well trapped and in great condition. Should be able to play in 3 1/4 hours.
Dundee Country Club
Played On 06/28/2014slow play on weekend
unfortunately, we had a twosome in front of us that were both
poor players and unaware of golf etiquette. The course was basically in good condition with some greens still showing winter damage. Very few water hazards but the greens are bunkered.
THE STAFF was excellent in recognizing the time issue and provided us with the opportunity to return at no cost to better
experience the course this summer.
Fergus Golf Club - South Nine
Played On 06/07/2014Long and Open
Play Fergus if your driver is working as there are several long straight holes. The course`s challenge is more in length than hazards. Played East and West which are very open with nary a tree in play. South course has three holes back in the woods which narrows the fairways. One advantage is that the play is normally well paced with everyone moving along.
RiverEdge Golf Club
Played On 05/22/2014Excellent 9 hole course
course in great condition -
7 th hole the challenge -very small landing area
with your tee shot with a carry over environmentally sensitive grasslands - suggest 3/4 wood
Thank you for the extensive 5 star review!
Yes, the delayed start and cold spring has caused the greens to be running a little on the slow side compared to our usual speed this time of year...The boys are working on it, I promise!
Thanks again and we'll see you soon!
