The Club at Osprey Cove
Played On 06/07/2019Where’s the Marshall?
This course is my favorite one to play, but there’s no control over the tee times and homeowners just jumping on the course at will. It appears that homeowners or regulars here can just hop in a cart or grab their push cart and jump on the course. We met up with the staff before to identify the players before and after our start time, yet somehow a twosome snuck between and then when the foursome in front of us wasn’t playing as fast as the twosome desired, they just pushed ahead and teed off. I also played earlier in the week and was told there were no other times behind us for a bit, but again a group of six (which shouldn’t be allowed either) was hitting into us... obviously didn’t pay, or check in. So... where’s the Marshall??

Played this a few times. This is a forgiving course to beginners, but offers challenging hazards from the appropriate tee box. The heat is definitely keeping the greens keeper on his/her toes, 100 degrees out the day we played. But greens positively show the hard work that’s been put in over the last two years.

This course is challenging, yet fun every time I play it. There’s a few soggy areas in the fairway on hole 5 where it’s just getting too much water, and a couple greens on the back nine are recovering.
Overall beautiful, well maintained and exceptional for the price! You won’t find another gem like this without paying another $25-$50 a round.

Whoever designed this course probably didn't put all those cart paths winding through the middle of this thing, but simply that element turned me off. The back nine was infinitely better, but even at $20 a round, I will go to NAS JAX or Kings Bay well in advance before hitting that course again.
