My game is about five years old. I started playing in my forties but have made significant progress. My lowest round is 79, a mark I have achieved twice. I got sidelined last year due to surgery. But I am off to a fast start this season. My driver used to get me into trouble but I now keep it in the bag, saving it for wide fairways and rely more heavily on my 3-wood. That one I hit 230-240 straight and consistently. My short game is coming along. My putting has never been a problem. I am pretty deadly within 6 feet. I am looking forward to more rounds in the seventies this year.

This course is a situated in the High Peaks region. Craig Wood is surrounded by mountains in every direction. As a result, even the worse round is tempered by the eye-popping views. Craig Wood does need some work. The fairways are pretty bumpy. So even your best drive in the fairway may result in a lousy lie. The course competes against more pricey establishments in the area. There is significant value here if you are looking for a moderately priced course with great views and don't mind skimping on the trimmings. Clubhouse offers cordial service with the usual fare serve on an open-air outdoor balcony, if you wish. Did I mention the views?
