The course is currently undergoing extensive renovation. Some holes are unplayable, new holes have been added (2 holes created from 1 original fairway, etc). Kinda difficult to navigate right now, especially if you use an electronic GPS device. The holes in play were good.

Mats are in use just now to protect the fairways. If you want to avoid buying one, at 5 quid each, bring one with you.

The guy in the pro shop was very helpful.

I guess by summer 2023 the work will be completed. Should be worth a visit then.

We enjoyed our game at Brechin. The only thing that was a bit confusing was the footgolf flags were the same colour as the golf flags.

Enjoyed the golf here. Greens were excellent and in general, the rest of the course was in good condition. Only minor issue was that some of the concrete pathways were in rough shape.

A short course that is quite forgiving. Good for a beginner

Enjoyed the wide open fairways and large but tricky greens. Lovely hilly location with some interesting holes. Only issues were the cart tracks are in pretty rough shape and more distance markers would have been helpful. Played on a "hot deal" so all in all, amazing value for money!

This course has received some terrible reviews. Ok there is a lot of big construction work going on either side of several fairways and some of the greens are not in good condition (sandy patches, etc). The cart tracks between holes are in a bad way. However, all the fairways are fine and it is an interesting course. The poor maintenance is offset by reasonable fees. If you want to play a full length course on a budget then this is a good option

Nice course. Ranges from wide open to pretty tight fairways. Loved seeing gators and big birds. Can be tricky to find the next tee off area, especially the 10th. Could do with better signs for non locals. For our last 5 holes we were stuck behind a 4 ball playing ridiculously slow. Could have done with a ranger to get them moving. Don't let those minor complaints put you off. This is a great course and I'll be back to play it again!
