About

I drive the ball consistently about 275-290, but where my game really shines is my approach shots. I typically play yardages between 6600 and 6800 and this leads me to having 100-180 for a second shot on any given par four. I don't miss many greens, but when I do I can get up and down from anywhere.

Unfortunate Predicament

I've played this course several times, many as a junior in tournaments. Always liked the layout, some long holes, with a good mix of challenging short holes. If this course was not in the location it is, it could be one of the best private course layouts in northwest Ohio. Unfortunately this course doesn't get the attention it deserves. The greens are fairly well maintained as well the fairways, but the rough suffers and is riddled with clover and crab-grass in many spots. Overall, one of my favorite courses in Toledo, I just wish it was as well maintained as some of the other courses. Keep it in the short grass and you won't be disappointed and require a foot-wedge for a playable lie.

Solid value course, but don't play if you have obligations later.

I have played this course a few times before, and every time its the same story. I get there hit a small bucket on the range across the street, hit a few putts (the greens are surprising quick), and then get up to the starter, "we are running about 1/2 to 3/4 hours behind." Had a tee time for 11:00 and didn't tee off til 11:40. But once on the course, the pace really wasn't that bad.
The course itself has some great holes, some risk/reward type holes, and the greens on the back nine require you to be below the hole at all times. Overall solid layout, but getting off the first tee is the hard part.

Great Course; Always a good decision

I played this course a couple of times as a junior in tournaments, and immediately loved it. This is a challenging, but very fair course. Not extremely long, and gives you plenty of teeing options to fit your play-style.
Starts out with two moderate length par fives to get your game going. Nothing tricky in the first few holes, but then comes the placement game. The course likes its dog-legs; and demands placing your drives rather than just overpowering the course, hence the difficulty rating. Don't worry though, the carts have a GPS system in them to show you the distances to the front, middle, and back of the green as well as points of interest (like the bend of a dog-leg). The greens are big and very undulating (I had a 50+ ft putt that swung about 20 ft). Always a great time on this course.
