The new greens are great, fairways and tees are in decent shape.
The weather was very windy making the course very challenging but we had to quit with 4 holes to go and
we’d already been on the course for over 5 hours. As we went, we noticed that no one was on 17 or 18. Some group was at least 2 holes behind and nothing was done. They really need to have course Marshall on the weekend..

This is one of my favorite courses in the area. Greens are coming back nicely.
Only criticism is the lack of water coolers on the course. The weather is very hot and there should be plenty of places to get water.

Love this course and it’s in as good a shape as I’ve ever seen it. $60 just seems a little high for the area.

The course is handling the Coronavirus health scare very well. They allow one person per cart, the holes are cut 1 inch deep so you don’t have to reach in, no rakes in the bunkers, and the carts are cleaned after every use.
The only minor ding on the round was that the greens, though in perfect shape, were very slow. No word on why they weren’t mowed closer.
All In all, well worth the trip from Jacksonville for a Donald Ross hidden gem.

The course is open despite the health scare going on. It’s a fun course but the greens are not up to par with other courses in the area.

This course is always one of the best on the first coast. Great course, friendly staff, excellent bar and restaurant. Always a top value. One warning is needed, however. The greens were ridiculously fast. They always have some of the fastest in the area but yesterday was overboard. I got around ok but Had several putts run far past the holes. We just don’t get to play greens like that around here very often. I had fun with the challenge but high handicappers probably wouldn’t have much fun on the greens.

I’ve always liked this course but they resort to cart path only if someone spills a beer. The course was wet today but the fairways were getting far more damage from people not filling their divots because of the cart path only rule than if they’d just let us drive out to the ball. We teed off at 8:30 and by 10:00 most of the course was safe for carts. It’s no wonder no one was there. If you’re planning to play here, think again if it sprinkles the night before.

A challenging, yet playable course just needs a little TLC to be an area must play. The course conditions are fine but not up to NE Florida standards. The greens are in really good shape but are not cut low enough to putt consistently. The speed varied from green to green and even on different parts of the same green.
For our $29 GolfNow rate it was well worth the drive. The only drawback was the pace. The round took almost 5 hours on a Wednesday morning. The wasn’t the fault of the staff or the course but of inconsiderate golfers. According to the Marshall one or two groups held up the whole course.
Our green fee included a free hot dog and a beer. The pub is excellent and had a decent menu with a passable beer selection.
Will definitely go back, hopefully not behind the same group of “golfers”.

I've been playing here occasionally for over 30 years and this is the best shape I've ever seen it in, especially the greens. They were a little slow compared to some other courses in the area but they were beautiful and rolled true!

For the $20 I paid thru GolfNow, this course is about an 8 Star value!

Course is in good shape tee to green. But the greens need some work. Especially the first 3. Multiple patchy spots but very puttable from 4-18!
Fun course worth the price when the greens come back!
