Wicker Memorial Park Golf Course
Played On 06/12/2023Backyard Golf
Everything about this golf course feels like it was a project built in someone’s backyard. Greens are the size of postage stamps, mowed to the same length as the fairways, and covered in goose poop. Bunkers are small odd shaped patches of sandbox sand dumped on top of the grass surrounded by a perimeter of weeds. They should be charging no more than 20 dollars for a round based on the conditions.

Very straight forward (literally.. red course is very boring and 90% of the holes are a straight shot) but in pretty rough condition right now. Reminiscent of Jackson Park on the south side. Doesn’t look like they’ve caught their stride for the season yet. Bunkers are mostly dirt and rock hard. Cheaper compared to others in the area for a reason and not worth the 10-20 bucks you’ll save over going elsewhere. The upside is pacing is great since it was totally dead on a Sunday!

This place is an absolute joke. Like someone decided to let their kid build a golf course in the back yard and then left it to become overgrown.
