Pelican bay golf course was a pleasant surprise. Nice course, excellent staff, and will play there again.

Over all the course was good. It is laid out well, distances for each of the holes is good, the greens well manicured,. The problem we had was that the 1st cut of rough along every fairway and around every green was so thick an deep, if you hit into it( which we did ) you rarely would find your ball. We did not feel it was acceptable to be saddled with a “ lost ball” penalty on at least half of the holes. I would loved to have hit every fairway and green, which we eventually did, but without losing a ball for being a yard or two into the rough. To be fair, we did not relay this information to the pro shop because of weather, but we also felt they would already know this.
