Mill Quarter Plantation Country Club
Played On 10/18/2013green were perfect. fairways looked dry but played soft. well-drained course.
We arrived as a large tournament was ending and actually had a $15 rate through GolfNow despite over 100 players having just completed the tournament. They got us right in on time. Most of the courses we have played recently should not have allowed play due to excessive water. This course actually looked a little on the dry side but upon playing it the ground was perfect for setting your tee as well as hitting from the fairway. Greens were perfect. Quick but not overly fast and firm yet sound enough to hold shots. The only problem I had was that yardage markers were inaccurate, which will be remedied by setting up my gps the next time we play. Overall a good experience on a day which presented perfect fall weather.
Poplar Grove Golf Club
Played On 9/20/2013A tournament quality course you wouldn't expect in this area.
This was the last course Sam Snead designed before he passed away. As you drive through the country road that leads there, you will be amazed at the beauty of the course when you drive up. Worth it just to ride around the course as you play. With the GolfNow deal I got 18 cost me the same as 9 holes at a raggedy municipal course we play.
