If you are snowbird from Midwest and stay in Cads Grande this is your course.

Had not played here in years and was pleasantly surprised on course lay out and condition. Then we got on the back where last 4-5 holes were in shambles being dug up for overseed. No warning when we checked in or from ranger on course. When asked person inside golf shop she said she had no idea they were out there. We paid full price.

Heard this course had been seriously upgraded and it is true. Fairways are excellent, greens great but extremely fast. Two small negatives are on back some rough has dirt and roots. The starter was lost doing a simple job.

Five hours and never seeing a Ranger is BS. On line it says "off cart path" and starter who got starting order messed up said "a couple holes" may be roped off. Virtually half par 4s and 5s were roped off. Love this course but it seems whenever a course goes away from Troon management quality drops.

Solid 5 hours of watching slow and crazy people waste time on a former great course. At one point 10 people were on 16 having a driving contest, screaming, throwing clubs and drinking. Saw 5 of them messing around earlier and warned ranger but no luck. These 2 courses use to have the best greens and traps around, no more. Greens are not bad but traps are. Talked to at least 4 employees who agreed-Bring Troon Back.

The improvement over old Maryvale is excellent especially greens and bunkers. Rough could still use upgrade but in my opinion the staff is tops. The GCU students act as the course is their proud home.

Heard a lot about Grand Canyon but it is still Maryvale with lipstick. First our tee time is moved back one because of a "squeeze in". The rough has as much dirt as grass, no cart girl and no marshall. Greens are pretty good and what a beautiful clubhouse. First impression is not always correct.

This is one course I could play every day. There are so many great holes and the greens are very challenging. It is too bad more courses here aren't like Hawaii where locals who play them year around are rewarded during high times. Even if it was a once a month special. Prices on this course are going out of reason.

I like the changes made to McDowell Mountain/Sanctuary. Better view lines, still good challenge. Ranger was busy keeping pace. Only negative was greens are rough and excuse concerning time of year fails when other courses greens are better.

I have played most of the Surprise AZ courses some time ago but had never played Cimarron. Saw a good deal and decided it was time. Very glad i did-fun course with just enough challenges to keep one interested. low handicappers need play the tips. Greens were very good with both subtle and obvious breaks. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I will return

Havent played here in a while but glad I came back. Layout is fun and some unique holes. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pace was a little slow but ranger did get things moving after a while. Nice play for a change of scenery.

Both courses are excellent lay outs in great shape. Staff is helpful and professional. Realize it is a resort course but still would be awesoem if they had a deal for locals. Hawaii can do it why not Scottsdale.

A nice change of pace from desert courses. Good variety of holes. Will play again

A ranger with a surly attitude and no interest in moving slow golfers (over a hole down) into place. Be a long time before I return especially with all the better courses at the same price.

Always enjoy this course and its challenges. Need to know scoring holes. It is in good shape and worth playing before it is gone.

This is course that is much tougher than rating yet excellent variety of holes. Gets pricey in winter

Both Hawk and Squire need attention. Greens are varied speeds even within the same nine. Large trees or branches right in line off tee box.

Excellent round of golf-use every club in your bag. Even with sanded greens it was still a value. In a couple weeks this course should be an A to A+

The Raven course is still a must play for visitors to Phoenix except not until they retreive their greens. Absolutely horrible. Not worth 25 dollars. Very disappointing for this course
