Club de Golf Piedmont
Played On 09/19/2020Not terrible and good value
The greens were slow and there were some blind shots but overall not bad and good value for money.
Arundel Golf and Country Club
Played On 09/18/2020A really good course
Course was in good shape. Greens were decent. Layout was great. Can’t really complain about this course. The courses is narrow at times and plays long.
Club de Golf Val-Morin
Played On 09/17/2020A gem in the mountains
A gem in the mountain. Beautiful, beautiful course, amazing greens (fast) and well manicured. The fairway is a carpet. The lay out is great. I can’t think of a bad thing to say about this court. Do yourself a favour and play this course.
Auberge Mont Gabriel
Played On 09/16/2020It is not your every day golf course
There are a few great holes and for the price not bad. You play this course once a year with your friends but probably not more than once per trip. There are blind shots on a regular basis on this course. Elevation is part of every shot. Hole #1 is 2 kms away from the club house and so if you can get a gaz cart because you will need the power to get around the course. Bring lots of golf balls. Great vistas especially the green on the 18th. Greens are ok.
Hawkesbury Golf Course
Played On 09/15/2020A gem to take advantage of
This course is a matured course in terms of old trees and classic layout. Greens were in really good shape and rolled true. Fairways were well taken cared of. On most hole you feel like you are alone on the course. No blind shots and rough was not too punishing. In short, this course will not amaze you with any gimmicks but the fundamentals of a course are spot on here and will keep you coming back. Not an overly long course though so big hitters may want to check out the score card.
Manderley on the Green - Central/North
Played On 06/25/2018The basics aren’t great
It is a public course and so I don’t expect too much but the basics were lacking. Tee boxes were rarely even, the driving doesn’t really make sense and I lost my ball in the fairway on multiple occassions.
If you are starting golf then it is fine. Would not recommend but the staff was very friendly.
Club de Golf Le Sorcier
Played On 06/23/2018Just a gem and in amazing shape. Should have written this review a while ago
This course is about 25mins from the downtown core of Ottawa on the Quebec side. The lay out is challenging and diverse. Carts are mandatory and it is a good policy to have given the different elevations. There are many picturesque holes and lots of variety. The course is not that long but the difference in tee are well positioned to give you a challenge if you want it. Fairways can get a bit on wet side of things but usually that is because of lots of rain and the course being protected by trees. Greens have always been in a good shape especially this season (2018). The food is very good as well. There only two down sides. One is that there is no driving range but there is a net where you can hit into. Two to my knowledge there are no locker rooms and so no showers to use after the round. All that being said, try out the course you will not regret it.
Eagle Creek Golf Course
Played On 06/13/2018Nice course but beware of the bugs
The good: great course, good layout, great driving range a few steps from the fist tee, great staff, snack bar is well positionned so that you pass by it 3 times during the round. Good variety of looks, decent amount of water around the course makes certain holes very impressive.
The bad: hopefully it was just the time of the year but after 16 holes we gave up because the bugs were so bad. Make sure to wear pants and have bug spray on hand.
Other than that can’t really complain
En-Joie Golf Course
Played On 04/17/2017Best value for money
Course is really nice and open, greens are well cared for. You will find your ball off the fairway (unless you are in the very deep rough) and while you may have a shot off the fairway, the strategically placed trees make it a real challenge every time. The only negative point that I have is the snack bar/restaurant. Granted we were there early in the season and so they may not have been fully stocked but the food options and quality was lacking. Having said that, i'm going to play this course again and again.
Sugarloaf Golf Club
Played On 04/16/2017The back 9 is ok
Course is really open and is vulnerable to the wind. The front 9 was not a good experience when I played in mid-April 2017. Greens are hard as rock forcing you to hit the front of the green to let it roll out to the pin at the end of th green, after your ball bounces a foot off the ground after landing. The back 9 is a much better layout and course but still not great.
Blue/Ridge at Blue Ridge Trail Golf Club
Played On 04/15/2017Great course
Really nice course and all 3 nines are very different but nice and fun. Nice looks and well cared for greens. Ridge is my favorite 9 because you feel like you are alone on every hole as you can't see any other hole. Because it is one of the nicest courses in the area it can get crowded in the early afternoon but usually the pace of play is good.
Eagle Rock Golf & Ski Resort

Nice course with different looks, can't go wrong with this track.
