This course used to be a bright spot in the I-35 golf course corridor. After being sold, money was not spent to maintain the course properly. What could be an incredible course, with interesting shot angles, water, and many Par 5's, is now simply a course that beginners should play if they are interested in picking up golf. In my opinion, even for the cheap green fees, this course should be avoided if you hold your courses to high expectations. Drive an extra 10-20 minutes and play Landa Park, The Bandit, or Olympia Hills. You'll be disappointed unless you have extremely low standards going into the round.
