Play the course every time I come to Davenport. From previous visits I know that course conditions vary a lot depending on the time to year. This visit I would classify the condition as average. Greens were in poor condition and I would have expected better. Pace of play was good as course was not particularly busy. Would still recommend playing the course if you are visiting the area.

Have played many times and course is usually in excellent condition, this time of playing there were parts of the course and especially the greens that were not up to the usual standard. Got matched up with 3 other players which for a single player like me is great. Staff are friendly and helpful. If you have not played the course I would certainly recommend a visit.

Have not played the course for a few years and was not disappointed. Greens were the fastest I have played for a long time and coming from the UK faster than anything that I play in the UK. Fairways a little poor but greens super quick. A great layout because of the elevation changes which are unusual in this part of Florida. Unfortunately the pace of play was very slow and even playing a 3 ball we had to wait to play every shot. However I will play the course again on my next visit to Florida next year. I introduced a friend to the course today and he wants to come back to play it again.

Have played the course a number of times brings did not realise that the fairways had been overseeded, this was not clear at time of booking which was disappointing. I like the course and friendly staff and normally pace of play is good.
Will certainly play again but hopefully any course conditions will be made clearer on web site.

Were very fortunate to play on July 11 the day the course reopened after maintenance. Played in afternoon and apart from a short shower after 4 holes which made some golfers end their round we played on and had the course to ourselves. Have never been so fortunate to play the course in such good condition, the starter told us it was in good condition but it was better than that, just brilliant. Can't wait to come back to Florida in the fall and play it again.

Played last year during the renovation work on the course and it was a mess, this was first visit back since then and great improvement. New greens still have to "soften up" a little but were true and reasonable quick. Took my son in law and he really enjoyed the course. Everyone associated with the course should be congratulated for the improvements. We had a great day and will return.

Play course regularly but this was the worst condition I have seen it in. Tees were bare with very little grass and greens were very patchy and bare. Not a very happy playing experience.

Played course once a number of years ago but didn't remember how great it was. For the time of year and recent weather the course was in excellent condition, my only problem was in reading the greens, if I could have putted it would have been a great round! This must be the best course in the area and I have played most within a 20 - 30 mile radius. A great course and set up with very friendly staff. Will play again on my next visit to Florida.

Not played the course for a couple of years as the last time I played it was a disaster with the course no better than a building site and the course suffering from the contractors intrusion. Whilst there is still major house construction the new owners have managed to claim back most of the course. The general course condition was reasonable, the greens were true if a little patchy and slow. Overall course in better condition than a number of other local courses. One criticism is that the vast areas of sand (to large to be called bunkers) are no better than a ploughed field and should be marked as FUR because it is impossible to play out of them even if you find your plugged ball. Overall pleased with the progress made and the new owners should be congratulated. The guy on bag drop is a great ambassador for the club and remembered me from 2 years ago. He was extremely helpful as always and should be congratulated for the way he welcomes players. I will certainly play again this year and will be interested to see what further improvements have been made.

Play here regularly when vacationing in Florida (3 - 4 times a year from UK) but today was disappointing, the tees are in a poor condition with many bare patches and uncut grass. Bunkers could do with some more sand in them as there were some with less than an inch of sand. Greens were very patchy and slow. Probably the worse condition that I have seen the course.

Unfortunately could play only 3 holes due to rain and thunderstorms. Will book again to play here

Have not played the course for about 3 years so was interested to see how things had progressed. Very friendly welcome and the guy bringing me the cart knew my tee time and name so was able to direct me directly to the first tee. Joined up with a couple who were visitors and had a great game with them. The pace of play was exceptional for US standards (me being a Brit who never has a 18 holes round over 4 hours) we were never held up and played at a 3 hours 30 pace for a 3 ball. Course was in very good condition for the time of the year and the greens were excellent and ran very true. My congratulations to the Greens Staff for delivering the course in such good condition for June in Florida. A great day and it will not be 3 years before I return.

Not played the course for a couple of years so thought that I would give it another go. Paired up with another single and had a very enjoyable round. The course was in reasonable condition but greens were a bit bumpy and slow. Pace of play was great with no hold ups. Would play again in the near future.

First time played the course in many years and not disappointed. Greens were in great shape and whilst some fairways were a little patchy this did not detract from a most enjoyable round. Played as a single and round in 3 hours which was a bonus. Will certainly play again soon and would recommend the course to anyone wanting a different (hilly) course to play.

Course was in good condition for the time of year. Fairways had been overseeded but no growth yet. Greens were in great condition for the time of year and extremely fast. Certainly the fastest and best condition of any of the local courses that I have played recently. I found it particularly difficult to stop the ball on the greens and jugdge the pace for putting. A great course and one to be considered a " must play" when in the area.

Normally play the course and last time was in June. Bit busy on the first tee so joined up with a Canadian couple. Playing a 3 ball pace of play was excellent. Course had recovered well from recent hurricane but still wet in places. Greens need some work doing on them, most are a little patchy but a coulpe were good. Understand that there are new owners and will be interested to see how things progress. As always a pleasure to play.

Have not played the course for a couple of years but pleasantly surprised that despite the recent hurricane damage which was evident the course was not in to bad condition. Joined up with another visitor who was playing course for the first time and he was very impressed with the layout. Very friendly staff and a great day's golf. Will plan to play it again before returning to the UK. Certainly recommend this course.

Course had suffered from Hurricane Irma and a lot of clearing up was being undertaken by Greens staff. Some fairways very wet and got some plugged balls. Some tees moved very forward. Greens were very good for time of year, true and fairly quick. Rest of course was in the poorest condition I have seen for a number of years. Overall disappointed at condition of course but cheap green fee reflects this. Will still play again.

Last played the course in June and it was showing signs of improving from 2015 when it was a mess. New ownership is having a positive effect. Greens were reasonably quick and true. Some evidence of hurricane Irma but this did not effect play. Overall can see the improvements to the course and look forward to playing it again on my return to Florida in November. Legends has always been on my to play list for every trip and I look forward to seeing further improvements in November. Would certainly recommend playing it.

While there was a aeration warning but no details of the extent and on arrival notice on carts to keep to cart paths on 5 holes there was no warning that half of the tees had been closed and moved to temporary ones which were very forward. This was on some of the "better" holes and detracted very much from the playing experience. A very disappointing day and whilst I would recommend playing the course in the future I could not recommended playing it any time now. Club sent a booking confirmation but did not mention the extent of the work being undertaken or the amount of disruption.
