Lake Erie Metropark Golf Course
Played On 04/27/2021Condition as become poor.
I don’t know if it’s the pandemic or something else but this course is in horrible shape. The greens were super inconsistent and bumpy from aeration that was not done right. No rangers to help manage course play. The cart paths need to be redone. The tee boxes are a disaster. If the course is going to be in that condition all year I will go elsewhere.
Taylor Meadows Golf Club
Played On 04/09/2021Early April
Pace of play was good. Waited a bit at a few holes. Could’ve been worse. Greens were inconsistent. Most traps were now raked in the morning. I’ll play it again if the price is right. Wouldn’t pay over $25 for this course.
Rackham Golf Course
Played On 11/07/2020Horrible
I started playing golf again after a 20+ Years hiatus. When I use to play regularly we played Rackham quite often, mostly twilight because the price was right. The course was nice and seemed better kept than now. With the condition of the course I won’t be going back. The course is a shell of its former self.
Eagle Crest Golf Club
Played On 11/05/2020A area gem.
This is a great course. Pace of play was fantastic. Golf Carts can be a pain. I look forward to returning when I find specials.
Lake Erie Metropark Golf Course
Played On 08/29/2020Could use some upgrades.
We played the day after a heavy rain. Unfortunately there was water in the Sand Traps, and the course was soggy. The greens were in good shape. My biggest problems were the golf carts and gold path. The golf carts are loud, I think electric carts would help as we ran into issues with the foursome ahead of us at the tee boxes coming off the previous green. Additionally it would be awesome if they repaved the path. We joked about all the speed bumps and potholes.
I did like the course and will play it again.
Willow Metropark Golf Course
Played On 11/03/2020Salem Hills Golf Club
Played On 09/07/2020Racism
Today when visiting the ranger to check-in he called the threesome I was paired with, “orientals”. I was taken a back, not sure how to react, my tee time wasn’t for 30 min so I went to hit a bucket before playing. After I finished I checked back in with the ranger and this when he pointed out the threesome he paused before calling the people.
Later in the round on the 13th hole, a different ranger approach us as we were getting off the green. He was not in any identifying clothing other than a hat which said Salem Hills on the side. Instead of being polite he launched into threesome that they needed to hurry up. The way it happened screamed racist. No way he goes a group of white golfers like that. After our round I asked the foursome behind us and they never concerned with our play.
It was unfortunate those incidents happened. I did bring it up to the Club Manager who said he would address it and promised to call me back. He also said that has never happened before. Well as easily as the racial slur came off the tounge of the first ranger it was clearly not his first time using the word.
I will give them a second chance but if I sense any ounce of it next time. It will be the last time and I’ll do more the leave a review on GolfNow.
