Misty Creek Country Club
Played On 03/11/2024Pleasant Surprise
Played Misty Creek with our friend. It’s been 2 years since we last played it. Friendly welcome in the Proshop and by the Starter and Marshall. Played the front 9 in an hour and a half and slowed down on the back but finished in just over 4 hours. Several challenging holes with water. Traps have new sand this year. New Ownership investing into the course and facilities.

First time playing Legacy...a challenging layout. Course was dry so ball rolled well. Most fairways were tight and some carry over water but fair. Most holes had water in play. Greens held well. Our 3-some played with a single, Donna from Wisconsin who played the course previously and provided helpful advice. Pace of play was ok at 4 hours and 20 minutes and although we waited on most holes, it wasn’t long. An enjoyable day and we’ll definitely be back.

Played Misty Creek for the second time in a week and enjoyed it very much. Our playing partners Lou and Eileen from NC were great companions. The course is in great shape and the greens very fast, with several difficult pin placements. Better be below the pin or you’ll roll past. Lots of wild life, including a gator and deer. The round took a bit longer than expected at 4 and a half hours but no long waits. Several dog legs on the back nine make the back a challenge. We will definitely be back soon.

Enjoyed our round on this well maintained course. Fairways and greens in good shape, good pace of play. Also enjoyed the company of our playing partners from Michigan. Will definitely be one of our top places to play in the area over the next couple of months.
Celebration Golf Club

Another enjoyable round at Celebration. The staff were friendly from the moment we arrived. We started on the back nine and the course was noticeably wet for some reason until we made the turn. Greens are tricky and the gold/silver blocks at just under 6300 yards were challenging enough for our threesome. Pace of play was 4 hours and 15 minutes and the Marshall apologized a couple times for a group ahead who played slower than the others behind them...not bad timing. Looking forward to our next round at this great course.
