Played 8/5. Greens are great. Course is in good condition. Best value for your money in DFW.

They only have 2 temporary greens and even those were in good shape. The rest of the greens and fairways are really good and roll true. For $25 you cant beat it. Not sure why all the negative reviews lately but course was good.
The Links at Riverside
Played On 09/05/2020Not what you want from a golf course
There were no fairways. The course did not have a golf layout. Tee boxes and greens seemed to be placed randomly. What was considered the fairway was in bad shape. The greens did roll true but did not feel like golf greens. Grass was tall and thick which made putts extremely slow. I wouldnt even say this is a good course for beginners because there is no golf feel at this course. Not a good place to introduce someone to the game.
Westdale Hills Golf Course
Played On 05/03/2020Worse greens in DFW
These were the worse greens I have ever seen. They were super bare some were almost only sand. The little grass that was there made it so bumpy. Course was a cool layout and scenic but even for the $10 price it was not worth it.

For the price, you cannot get any better. Best bang for your buck if you go in the afternoons. Greens are super smooth. They are fast but you get a true roll. Theres a handful of holes that require a perfect tee shot Which can be tough but also very satisfying when you hit a good one.
Awesome
I love being able to see how far your ball carries. Thats something you dont get at a normal driving range. The balls are a little flight restricted (but so is every range ball), but if you hit crom the 2nd deck it evens out. Plus the great food and beer. But its an awesome place to practice.

Played On 09/11/2017A few groups got caught up because the course let a 5some play and they were being really slow. I bought the round from golf now which offered free range balls and a free sleeve of balls. When i got to the course they could not give me this deal and the guy was upset that i had asked for it. He had refunded the first transaction only to charge me the same thing again. I said I was ok with just the range balls and he gave me the smallest bucket. I figured he might give me the medium bucket for the hassel i went through and the fact he couldnt give me what i had paid for but he just gave a small. But i love the course when its only $20. But i had to pay $40 and it was not worth $40.
Lake Park Golf Course - Executive Course
Played On 08/25/2017Allowing a 6some on a par 3 course is bad for business
Every time ive come to this place ive had problems. If it wasnt for the $5 round on the golfnow app i wouldnt play. When I walked in the clubhouse there was no one there to check me in. So i waited a couple mins and then a worker came in and said someone would be with me soon and he went to sit at the table and didnt help me. The guy that did help simply gave me the keys to the cart and didnt say a word to me. There was a 6some of 10-12 year olds that started 2-3 holes in front of us and we caught them on hole 4. They were terrible golfers (which is fine. No big deal. Glad they are out there) but for a course to allow a 6some is ridiculous. Especially on a par 3 course. Especially a group of young kids who are not golfers. We waited 20 mins for them to finish a hole and we ended up skipping a hole just to get in front of them and only played 8 holes. The whole course was backed up because the course allowed a 6some.
