First time down at this resort. Scouting for a summer golf trip. Funky layout, especially the back 9. Tees boxes and fairways pretty rough but you can tell they get a ton of rounds here. No one fixes divots or pitch marks. Need sand bottles on carts.
Very friendly staff. Everyone was very nice. Will be back to try other tracks they offer before recommending this resort to my trip mates.

Must play when in the area. Very playable from white and blue tees. Course was in pretty good shape, save for the few rough patches on the greens. Much more room in the fairways than the cart GPS would have you believe. Hit a lot of 3-woods and long irons when driver would have been fine. Nice staff.

Nice course in the Barefoot resort. Total SE golf experience. Some holes felt like Florida, then Georgia and even NC. Trust your yardage and fly fairway bunkers whenever you can. Will leave you fairly easy approaches.

Everything from the drive up to the gate to the course layout is old school country club. This is a good thing BTW. Agree with most reviewers that the greens are the best feature of the course. The finest I played during a week-long trip no doubt. Bunkers are everywhere so your scorecard depends on where you miss shots.
I'd play it again in a heartbeat.

First time playing here in 3 years. Last fall's work is looking good. Removal of some trees and brush in between holes is a winner. Course feels a little more tournament like. Very sandy range. Pace of play gets better the deeper into the round you get. By the 13th hole we didn't have to wait at all. Make sure you grab a beverage on the patio below the bar to watch players come in on 18.

For GR area golfers, make the trip up here. Course is out in front of you. Not too much trouble to get in unless you're really off line with shots. A few greens are borderline un-puttable if above the hole. Only small complaint is the practice range. All mats all year.

Fun and challenging layout when the wind blows. Just wish the people who frequent the course would take better care of it.
If you play here encourage others to fill a few extra divots.

Well kept up and pace of play was good for a holiday week. Watch out for hidden water or long carries over exposed ponds.

Great staff. Had the run of the place and enjoyed it overall. Will pass on judgment of conditions as it is early season, but it was to be partly expected. Course layout a little funky but not too confusing. Expect lots of uneven lies here. Hitting fairways not vital to scoring well as greens are fairly receptive.
