I wish I could be more positive because this course CAN be very fun. However, the course conditions are just really bad and they have been for a while. The fairways have some REALLY good spots but some equally bad ones. The greens are just garbage. The "rough" (even the first cut) is patchy at best. There are bare spots galore where there clearly should be grass. Clearly the grounds crew is in over their heads. I'm pulling for it to come around!!!

I play here with my wife because it is always easy to get a tee time.

Many of the snowbirds think that your round evolves around theirs but that's just a snowbird trait in general. Usually the pace of play is decent. The staff was a friendly guy.

I really hope they figure out the issues with the grass because I like the course.

The greens are still not great but have improved a little. The fairways are improving quite a bit.

Coyote Wash COULD be a very cool course. Could be. The staff was very friendly. The fairways were just fine for the most part. However, the greens are in DIRE need of some qualified, professional attention. I can only review the course as it was for my round and, unfortunately, my round was slow. This, apparently, was due to a seniors tournament. I certainly understand a slower pace with a tournament going out. On the 9th hole, there were 5 groups including us either playing the hole or waiting to play it. That is a bit overboard. The pace picked up slightly after the 9th but we certainly had time to make friends with the group behind us on every single tee box thereafter. My wife and I had a great day and we are not good enough for the greens to really matter. I would recommend this course to anyone who likes to play but doesn't take golf (or themselves) too seriously...

This is a wide open course. Player friendly fairways, great greens and an exceptional staff made my day. I will be back for sure

This is a tight, tough course but it is gorgeous. Nestled in the mountains of Ramona the layout takes you across ravines, from peak to peak and from high to low with picturesque views at every turn and summit. The greens, fairways and tee boxes were all in great shape.

I was disappointed that there was no driving range to warm up on but grossly more disappointing was that they charge you for buckets of balls to hit into a net! That is absurd and just the mentality that makes someone think that's ok is baffling. The "pro shop" is a little prefabricated building with a grill inside. The offered products were adequate but, I have to say that the guy working the register in the pro shop was off putting. He was a little condescending in his comments and even after I said I didn't need any gear, he flippantly dismissed my opinion and continued to push their products. I found this annoying and will tune this guy out if I go back.

The grounds staff, starter and Marshall's were all very friendly and helpful. They all seemed eager to help and were very helpful. Their attitudes were extremely positive and they were all very knowledgeable.

The bottom line is that the course is really nice. It beautiful and challenging but the pro shop experience and the mind set of the management left much to be desired.

This is a very challenging course. It is tight and there is VERY little room for error. It is rather scenic. There are several holes that you can't see any fairway from the tee boxes so if you can get a tour and take some notes before you play, you'll score far better. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
